- Mexico City has a number of free things to do (museums, walking tours), but one of the best free things to do in CDMX is the Sunday bike ride. From 8:00am to 2:00pm every Sunday, they shut down some of the city's major streets for this city-wide outing, and it is quite the spectacle. In this video I'll show you where and how to rent your free bike to explore the city!

Mexico city is amazing so much to do
Literally so much! I feel like I’ve spent quite a bit of time here now and I still have yet to do everything!
Hello 😃😀 wonderful video, interesting😮it's only on sundays without traffic? 😲🚚🚗🚕 just love all the green🌳🌲🌳🌳and birds🐦🐦🐦 beautiful city 😍🙅 thank you for sharing this 😎👌👍👏
It's a great option any day of the week! But yes, Sunday is when the big event is when they shut down some of the major roads and you can enjoy without traffic!
The beauty of the city and and the beauty of you makes Mexico very attractive .
Well thank you :) and yes, it's such a beautiful city!
If you want to visit a beautiful neighborhood with a feeling of small town (you won't even hear the traffic), go to CHIMALISTAC. It's located between San Ángel and Coyoacán.
Very, very picturesque.
Saludos ✌️
Oh great! Thanks for the recommendation. I love that area.
Chimalistac, beautiful neighborhood ❤
I was just thinking yesterday how fun this would be, and the TH-cam algorithm apparently read my mind and recommended your video. I can't wait to get back to Mexico City and do a Sunday bike ride.
It’s such a great way to spend a Sunday! Good to have you here, thanks to the algorithm 😄
Very nice video, thank you for showing us the beautiful Mexico city, from California.
It's my pleasure! Glad to have you here.
I’m a CDMX local. Just switched using my car for a bike and I’m NOT regretting it! Great workouts in my daily commutes. Mexico City is developing a nice biking culture.
Absolutely! And the weather is almost always perfect for it!
Oh wow, those purple 💜💜 trees are beautiful
I'm lovin 'it family atmosphere that is breathed in Mexico ... great walk beautiful avenues.🥳🎉🇲🇽👍🏻
Yes! There were so many children and families out and about. Such a fun, wholesome Sunday activity. :)
@@JanetteAllenTravel espero regreses‼️🤝🏻👍🏻
So fun! I miss cdmx! Can’t wait to go back :)
I love it! I’ve just left to travel some states to the north, and I miss it already! (But also loving exploring new places 😊)
Thank you Janette! Very entertaining and informative 👏🏼😊
Thanks for the video Janette, quite entertaining and useful!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching :)
Good video! I really liked your tour of Mexico City, I hope you can show us more of these streets with a lot of nature... I hope one day to cycle through the streets 🚴🏬❤️
Nice video. Try parque La Mexicana at Santa Fe neighborhood. Other recommendation: Viveros de Coyoacan (for jogging, early in the morning).
I’ll have to check it out! Thanks!
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! BUT WE NEED MORE AND LONGERS!!! MY LIKE!!!!
Yes, I took a long time to get this one up :'( Next one will be much sooner, I promise! :D
@@JanetteAllenTravel greetings from chicago!!! 🇲🇽❤⭐🇲🇽❤⭐🇲🇽
Sunday it's Funday un México City 😼😍
Welcome beutiful we love you here🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽💞💞
I love to be here!
Jannette, thank you for the video. I love my CDMX. I've been in the US for a long time, and I love the US but part of my heart is in CDMX.
My heart is always there too ❤️
I recommend you to carry some cash (not tons) because if you are going to buy food from street vendors they rarlely accept any form of payment other than cash. Cash is the king in a lot of places in Mexico City.
Yes, I usually do, but it slipped my mind that day!
Went on this ride with my daughter on Jan. 2. Did not know free bikes were available, however, our rental was quite reasonable and bikes had front baskets. This was a bucket list item for me at age 71, but I hope to do it again. We also stayed in Condesa, which is my favorite CDMX colonia. Really like your videos.
Yes, the rental bikes are still very reasonable! Always looking to share budget ideas though ☺️ Glad you guys enjoyed it!
Amazing ❤❤
Welcome to México Janette
Thank you!
Hello. It was a very good presentation and explanation. Thanks.
Welcome back!
Tank you!
Oh que padre seria hacer eso.
Saludos desde Chihuahua México
Hola!
I am very glad that you are in our beautiful country.
I really like your videos and right now I subscribe to your channel.
By the way, you are very pretty.
Receive greetings from Mexico City.
I’m happy to be here! And welcome to my channel ☺️
The best spoken Spanish is the one we speak in Mexico.
It’s the easiest for me to understand for sure! But this is where I’ve spent the most time (of Spanish-speaking countries)
@@JanetteAllenTravel that helps you to understand it better but still the correct way of speaking Spanish-is the Mexican because we don’t “cut” words or pronounce the words in a wrong way, also is neutral no accent.😀
🥂🥂🥂❤️
😋🤤🌷🌹
Tienes una sonrisa muy linda
Gracias ☺️
Funny but I think also very tired, to be filming 😅 nothing stops you, you are very intelligent and very beautiful,
It was really fun! But, yes, difficult to film while riding a bike 😂
