- Reverse Dye / Tie Dye Super Scrunch Pattern T-Shirt Instructions.
1 - T-Shirt has been washed so the material is damp to begin with.
2 - Scrunch the t-shirt following the video instructions.
3 - Secure with kite string.
4 - Apply the 50\50 bleach and water solution to the shirt. Let sit for 25 minutes.
5 - Soak the tied up shirt in a solution of 9 cups hydrogen peroxide to 1 cup water for 20 minutes to neutralize the bleach. Rinse with cold water while squeezing the material to remove the hydrogen peroxide.
6 - Soak in soda ash solution (1 cup to 1 gallon of warm water) for 20 minutes and spin out in the washer.
7 - Choose your dye colors. For my colors I chose Chinese Red, Deep Orange, Clear Yellow, Grass Green, Cerulean Blue, and True Purple (All colors are interchangeable).
8 - Allow your project to sit undisturbed for 24 hours then rinse starting with cold water to remove the soda ash. Increase water temperature to warm/hot while squeezing the material to remove the excess dye.
9 - Remove the kite string and open your new 1000 Faces Reverse Dye Super Scrunch tie dye t-shirt!
10 - Wash t-shirt by itself with hot water (I use Synthrapol Textile Detergent) without fabric softener and hang dry for the first time. After that wash and dry like normal.
11 - HAVE FUN and as always...HAPPY TIE DYEING!

Not only 1000 faces, but all kinds of little critters running around on it too Love this Shirt❤️😁✌️
lol thanks Greg! Everybody always loves the faces lol.
That shirt is so awesome and so are you for sharing how to make all these beautiful Tie Dye shirts! You’re the best Riah!!!
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me 😊❤️
I love how the colors turned out! That's quite magical!!
Thank you so much! 😊
The shirt turned out fantastic Mariah! I know that you probably think that these are so easy and for you they probably are but for us out here seeing a full tutorial of your work it's amazing so thank you very much for sharing!❤
Oh no lol. Reverse dyes are actually my nemesis lol. I love how they turn out but I’ve never been really great at them lol. You should have seen all of the failed black shirts with bleach or out white brite that I’ve done over the years lol.
Every shirt you make becomes my new favorite!!! I love your quality imaginative designs.
Thank you so much! ❤️
I love the cool faces, Riah, you make the best shirts. Thanks for sharing.
Aww thank you! I really appreciate it! 😊❤️
oh WOW that looks amazing! I really gotta try one of these bleach die shirts
Thank you!! Yeah they take a little longer than a normal tie dye but they just look so cool! ❤️
that epic and it have CRAZY SKULL on middle!!!
Thanks! I’ve seen a lion face, the Statue of Liberty face lol and many more in this shirt 😊
Another work of art !!
Thanks Bill! 😊
Awesome!
Thank you!
Beautiful! It looks like lots of faces 😊❤
Right lol?! Thank you. 😊
You know what I am going to comment
I feel like the step about the soda ash wasn't there.
Please can you explain this?
1. Let the t-shirt sit undisturbed for 24 hours.
2. Rinse starting with cold water to remove the soda ash...etc.
Thank you kindly 😊
You would soak it in soda ash after the shirt has been washed after bleach.
😱😱 How the frick did that scrunch turn into faces??? 🤯🤯
I don’t know lol! Thanks!
❤LOVE❤
Thanks Kathleen! ❤️
Would you dye a company shirt if I sent it to you and paid you??
Due to past experiences I haven’t been doing that anymore but if you ever want any advice on how to do your own, definitely feel free to ask!
Okay thanks
Why you haven't uploaded more videos?... Where R U?
Hi! Ive been having some health issues for a while now. Working on getting back to normal 😊
White brite work a lot better and a lot faster.
It does in some cases but the point of the bleach on this one is there’s quite a bit of black still left in the shirt and that’s what I wanted. I’ve used owb and I do like it for some things but not all. Thanks 😊✌️
@RiahsTieDye for that design. Which I do like the outcome. Good job on that. Owb would have taken a different technique. You would have had to dip it instead of pour. I'll give it a try though. Thanks for the idea.
