Re: the Klint Kubiak convo, Mason Rudolph was still in the mix before we picked up Russ. I think he also would have been a good fit for his scheme. And he would have been affordable.

Russ is not QB1 (yet). He would be playing already if he was. He played through an MCL sprain in one leg with a high ankle in the other when he was with the Seahawks. He’s not sitting out because of a calf. He’s being held out by Tomlin. It’s their best chance to evaluate Justin while still being able to go back to Russ if he has a bad game. It wasn’t planned (this isn’t a conspiracy), the opportunity fell in their lap. Tomlin will give Justin a chance to keep winning. If he has a real bad game they will switch to Russ and say “he was QB1 all along” to save face for Justin and leave the door open for later if Justin continues to develop.
So what is Jones' injury? 🖤💛💪
I guess I'm not willing to solely blame injuries to Jones & Fautanu as as the main or only reason things have been mismanaged at tackle. I'm sorry Alan, I feel like their history of mismanage linemen (i.e. Green & Dotson) is not unprecedented. I feel like MT's philosophy of "position flexibility" sometimes gets taken to an extreme to the point where some players underachieve here because they aren't utilized to their strength- unless of coarse your name is Dan Moore & position flexibility isn't a requirement!

Why acknowledge what is obvious
We know how Steelers fans are once your labeled a bust here there no coming back in the mind every penalty every sack he gives up now is magnified in fans minds sad
Alan, why do they make Russell Wilson the emergency QB instead of temporarily making Fields QB1 and Wilson QB2? I assume with him as the emergency QB, we'd have to go through Allen first if Fields got injured and I can't imagine Allen is better than Wilson currently is. I'm assuming it's just an appearance thing. (Smitty, I'd like your opinion as well, but after that other guy specifically asked Alan something, it was too funny not to do the same.)
Because Wilson isn’t healthy lol if fields gets hurt, Kyle Allen goes in, and if Kyle Allen got hurt and we had no one, then Russ would probably go in, play straight shot gun, not move much, and just get us outta there
@@NeweraGolf Yeah, I figured that but assumed that a Wilson at 75% is better than Allen at 100%. Of course we don't really know how injured Wilson is.
