God I just can’t get over that frame weight!! If you were going to put a compensator look alike on the pistol only to have it serve as a weight why not design the piece to where the gas porting is at least on top and at a glance has the appearance of a functional compensator. In the current configuration if this was a functional break the vent gas would be increasing muzzle flip. I totally understand it’s just a weight but you can tell H&K was trying to not only hide that extra barrel length but potentially give the appearance of alternate function. They should have put some porting on top while leaving the bottom solid.
How would it possibly be "increasing" muzzle fip? I own one of these on a USP in .40S&W, and the way this barrel weight is cut the bottom is completely solid with a "U" shaped opening that curves around the barrel extension and is open at the top. This means the only direction the expanding gas can go is _up,_ which Newtons law dictates it sends an equal _downward_ force to the muzzle. Even if it isn't specifically designed as a comp/brake, it still does direct the gas in a manner that cannot physically create more climb, it just flat is not possible.
@@TheFishE77Official Well that’s what I mean!! It would only increase muzzle flip if it were actually a true compensator. I mean it’s pretty obvious because companies make compensators for all kinds of pistols and the vent gas comes out the top and helps counteract muzzle flip. So what I’m saying is the weight works fine but if it were truly a compensator you wouldn’t want your vent gas to go out the bottom.

John Wick never used a USP, you're thinking about the P30L with compensator. The USP is also not in village, you might be referring to the compensated LEMI which is a CZ 2075.
