The one time I ever had Baked AK was at camp when I was 15 - they had a good chef there and he lit a line of brandy around the base of the thing for us after they turned the lights out.
Overdone in the 1950's? I watched the 1932 movie Shopworn last night and they were already making fun of how sick of Baked Alaska they were way back then. Apparently these things go in cycles.
@@evanteal5786 Yeah, by season 12 or so he was getting fairly heavy and he just decided to get serious about losing weight. The change was dramatic over the course of about a year.
