    He’s so right. The flipping of the wrists is KEY!! I initially struggled with the cross-cross by having my wrists too stiff, like he said. Once I allowed my wrists to flip, as in a non-cross cross jump, I was able to do the cross-cross. DO NOT STIFFEN YOUR WRISTS.

    Everything in this video is excellent! I’m still learning crisscrosses and I find my arms tend to drift wider and wider apart as I’m practicing, which causes me to mess up. So I need to concentrate on keeping my arms nearer my torso at all stages of the movement. Also if I focus ahead at an object at eye-level, I do much better. When my gaze is down, around, all over the place, this is when I mess up the most.

    Hi Kyle great tutorial, I notice in your video you alternate your lead/ dominant hand when criss crossing. Is there a reason for this or just your personal preference ?

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used to only have my right hand cross on top, but started practicing alternating and it just stuck. I feel like it keeps the loop of my rope centered better where as when my right hand was only on top a felt like the loop was always left of center. I think it's mostly preference, but worth playing with.

    I can do these just continuing the pattern is a bit tricky that arm placement on the cross I keep working on to engrain into muscle memory I have been practicing in front of a mirror to really help I notice I arch forward too much as if I am afraid the rope won’t clear my head it looks a little stiff

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Excellent, you're beginning to notice little things that create inefficiency and throws things off.
      All that is normal. As you practice it more you will become more comfortable with it. Sometimes it's hard to get aggressive because you whip yourself and it stings, so you naturally avoid it. Gotta stay aggressive, not wild and harsh, but aggressively smooth if that makes sense.

      @@Jump15officialI see yeah will slowly increase my speed I have to right now go back to basic bounce if I try to do it twice I end up catching my feet I think I am crossing a bit two slow to keep the crossovers consistent thanks for your videos and you respond to comments unlike other channels you really want to teach people in the best way possible it’s appreciated!

    does what rope you have affect this? I have meorex sports rope which looks a bit thicker.

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  ปีที่แล้ว

      Different ropes can be made of different materials. This can cause some to be more limp/flexible and make it a bit more difficult, but the technique remains the same.
