It’s to give Cody the Grand Slam. Cody will probably drop the US Title at Summerslam to Knight, it won’t lose him any cred to drop that title to another top card talent and it’d add a whole lot of cred to Knight.

The name "King and Queen of the ring" is such a mouthful, the event should have just been held at Clash at the castle
I think the PLE name should be something different. Like monarch related but not called King and Queen of the Ring or just King of the Ring.
Like before they changed it, we associated the name No Way Out as the PPV which would have the Elimination Chamber match. Do something like that. Like maybe name it "Coronation" or something and that lets us know the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring will be decided.

@@garv04 did you not see the match between Nia and Naomi on Friday. Naomi's balloons kept tryna pop put of her gear so she had to keep trying to cover herself up and get the girls readjusted while fighting against Nia.
So now she has the excuse that if it wasn't for the wardrobe malfunction she could have beaten her.
They lead us to believe it was winner takes all, champion vs champion, when Cody began saying he'd like 2 titles, was cut off by Logan, who then said it would be him leaving with both.
Which will lead to a dq either by Logan’s brass knuckles or ajs interference. In ajs promo he did say next time he sees Cody it’s on a sight and he will get his rematch so he’ll definitely interfere to get a long term story feud

2. Logan cheats and wins, becoming the biggest heat magnet in the world and then drops the WWE title (and maybe the US too) to Cody at Summerslam in Logan’s hometown of Cleveland.
3. Bo Dallas makes his return with his Wyatt 6 group and lays out both men in a no contest finish.

It's either no dq, or good way to take us title of Logan. Then cody can loose the us title to someone, by making Cody's Arc bit more unpredictable and interesting and avoiding the "super cody" phase, like Cena.
It’s hard to admit, but Nia is getting better in the ring. Which is honestly a good thing. And Jade is obviously improving as well, again a good thing. She needs to be in the ring with wrestlers that can lead her so she can continue to learn. Piper was a good choice. In my opinion Corbin as a face is a good idea. It just comes down to execution. As for the Bloodline, they are going in the right direction. It’s a slow burn until we find out who’s actually pulling the strings. They took a step back with the angle so they can eventually move forward. Smart long term storytelling.

To made Cody vs Logan more interesting they could do this- if Logan wins he is a new WWE champion but he needs to vacate the US champion when Cody wins his retaining WWE champion and Logan still needs to vacate the US champion.
This will make 'us' (fans) more interested in this (i think so? cause there is something 'more' on the line).
I still think someone should interfere and this should be a dq draw but at least there is something more in the story not just media purpose.
