After Drew vs Sheamus vs Gunther was WWE Match of the Year last year (imo) at Mania 39, I can't believe they might not even entertain the possibility of Gunther vs Gable vs Zayn. That would be a show-stealing banger!
Right? the best part about that match would be that it's unpredictable all three men are deserving and idk about every other wrestling fan but i wouldn't mind who came out the winner either way i see it it'll be banger match just like the last triple threat Gunther was in
a triple threat doesn't make sense and wouldn't be a good draw. Gable should've won and had a David vs Goliath match. Sami is good but I feel like this should've been chads moment.

Zayn just wanted to get on mania and has no personal vendetta with Gunther + has won the title 3 or 4 times already whereas Gunther made Chads daughter cry and he has a personal issue with him as well as finally needing to break out. Also, a triple threat means Gunther wouldn’t need to be pinned or submitted clean but he has to be otherwise the rub from taking his title won’t be the same

Gable should've been to face Gunther. It would've been Modern day Masterpiece Match ( Like shawn vs angle) with added drama of Gable daughter and family.

Since I started watching WWE again (Oct 2022), Chad had no interesting storylines, he didn't show much character development. I saw him as a comedy character more than a serious competitor.
I don't know, he might have had good storylines before, but for the past 1,5 years I've been watching WWE, I can't really remember what he was doing. A match vs Gunther, a few tag team matches and comedy skit appearances. That's all I can remember.
So yeah, I'm with Sami on this one.

If Sami had lost, he'd not have had a match at WrestleMania and fans would be mad about that. I think the original plan was Sani vs Drew, Gunther vs Brock and Punk vs Seth, but the allegations about Vince with Brock being mentioned and then CM Punk's injury changed things. Drew had to be elevated and Gunther was ledt without an opponent. Triple H did the most logical thing and put Sami in Brock's place. I think Gunther is retaining at WrestleMania but the one to beat him won't be Gable. I think it might be Dragunov at Bash in Berlin on August 30 or Bron Breakker if they draft Gunther back to SmackDown.

Hear me out, despite low chances, Sami wins, afterwards Gable wins at Summerslam, Sami goes for the World Heavyweight Championship at Mania next year, possibly against Priest.
It makes perfect sense why gable lost . It’s not the time rn . an IC title match at mania wasn’t for him however moving forward if the WWE is able to bulid him into something serious & put him through actual adversity then maybe later this year he’ll actually be credible. The problem with the iwc is they just want to create controversy bc they had expectations & since that didn’t happen they cry & moan. The WWE is into long term storytelling, once he’s beyond over then he’ll be rewarded. Just bc there’s 20,000 basement dwellers on the internet chanting (wewantgable) isn’t gonna work this time. It’s gonna take more effort.

Chad gable won me over from that heartfelt vignette earlier in the show. Loved His intensity. Sami is fine ig. But WWE needs to push Chad somehow.
Easy. Turn Chad Heel. Chad can secretly take out Sammy like Rakishi did with stone cold and take sammys spot. Then make Chad win at Mania, and he and Sammy fued for a couple of months.

That Gauntlet Match explains the Gable's character, the story telling was at it's peak.
Sami Zayn passed out after beating Shinsuke and Reed. Gable if he wanted could've easy have taken the advantage of the situation but he didn't. He helps sami to get into his feet and wanted fair fight.

I think Gable would have been the better choice. Gable's story is more interesting as he already had a story and rivalry with Gunther. Sami doesnt really have that rivalry and there isnt a lot of time to really make one now... Sami doesn't get much by being the one to beat Gunther; he's already been IC champion and should be in the WHC scene instead. Gable would be a madevstar if he beat Gunther for his first solo championship and so gains so much more for this spot.
Everyone doesn't understand how much I really wanted to see Sami Zayn get a title match at Gunther and after elimination chamber the only title he has a chance to fight for is for the intercontinental title plus we have already seen Chad gable lose to Gunther.
FYI I know this opinion is mostly biased and I love Chad gable but he already lost. He doesn't deserve to fight Gunther for the third or fourth time
I am all for Sami Zayn being on the grandest stage of them all, but if I was booking the gauntlet, I would have Gable win it. The sportsmanship, the "THIS IS MY MOMENT". I can't describe how much I was rooting for Gable.
I was there in Houston for the show , I can say it felt like everyone was hyped for Becky
Best case scenario: Gunther retains against Zayn, holds championship over another year and main event next year's WM Night 1 against Sheamus.
Sheamus will get his chance to finish his story to become a grand slam champion.
Gunther will get another achievement in resume for holding IC title over a thousand days (640 + 365)

The thing with Becky is that she doesn't really have a storyline that makes sense or is exciting, she's just going to Mania because of her star power, which is fair enough, but Liv actually has a rivalry with Rhea and she's being sidelined

with the whole chad cable not having shoulders on mat I think it is the right move for sami to win esspically if they go the route with chad cable making his way into match and making it triple threat as all sami need was a path to wresltmania nad cable needs to win.
That's where the titles are going to split because two different people from different teams will grab them at the same time but one will take down a raw title and the other a SmackDown title then Nick and Adam decide to split them and let them keep them letting the other pair stay on RAW and the other on SmackDown
Some people under wwe's comment section saying Gable should have one then there are some saying that he needs to build up enough as a single star which is strange since he never had a singles title. If he has it's been a long time and imo I feel it should have been his chance but unfortunately it was wasted in my opinion. I like Sami but I feel it was necessary to give someone else a chance at Gunther's title.

I know how I feel about Chad and Sami and the IC Title with Gunther. Chad deserves this more then almost literally anyone. He's been in the business for soo long being put in interesting places with different tag teams and that shorty g stunt and now he's Chad Gable again and putting on bangers which he was doing awhile awhile back as well. He not only proved multiple times that hes ready for the IC Title but to beat the likes of Gunther. I dont believe its just a "he had his time" because hes once again being built up and it sucks that he wasnt kept as this serious contender but seeing how Chad just speaks and his reasoning is excellent. Moving to Sami, Not hating on him but he doesnt need this imo. Hes a world title contender and thats where I wanted him to be but due to stories, thats obviosuly not happening. The match will be fire, but the moment and feeling for Chad would be 100x better with his emotions and winning his first singles title. Now Chad could beat Sami and Gunther or beat Gunther another time which I want both tbh but we dont know now. All in All, Chad Gable not going to WM40 is a let down and disappointing but seeing Sami winning is nice and all but hes not going to win and him and Gunther will slap and this may even elevate sami to the MITB!! Just Chaddy Daddy needs his flowers and respects for being underutilized and underrated for so long and beating Gunther and winning the IC title is 100x deserved.

Hot take and unpopular opinion: Faces in a championship compacity, are only fun during the chase for the belt and the first couple of defense after winning, they all get stale generally except few, that can turn mid run, from face to tweener or face to heel or just being a tweener to keep it interesting, plus brand new challengers dont hurt either. Or maybe if they have different stipulations weaved into amazing storylines and storytelling from the champion and whomever is booking. Honestly I like the champions' storylines in the 2K games compared to the actual WWE storylines sometimes, they seem more epic, but their arent very repeatable comlared to the actual WWE storylines.
People are moaning when they have done absolutely fuck all with Gable since the last time he fought Gunther. He has no place in this match until they start doing aomething again and actually build him as anything other than a clown
