Do you think Jimmy turned on Jey because he thought Jey cared more about the title and being the tribal chief than Jimmy's injury? Was he just jealous of his brother's spotlight? Let me know your predictions
Jimmy wanted to be tribal chief remember when Roman was trolling him about being tribal chief before he low blowed him he looked like he wanted to superkick jey but before he could do it Roman low blowed jey
During the build to WM40,Cody to Roman : "We both went toe to toe with the Beast, but I'm the one who he acknowledged. Without even asking or being told to"
Finn should've won. Then damien by cashing in on him. After that on Raw, it would've been hilarious to see Seth mocking Finn on losing the title even quicker this time. Best way to break judgement day and continue the story.
That’s the thing tho, the wwe doesn’t wanna split judgement day quite yet. That’s why we got what we got. Finn ain’t becoming world champion anytime soon. Seth will hold the title, but Damien will be busy with Finn for awhile so. The ending to this story in my opinion I think Damien will cash in on Seth, not Finn. Down the road tho, after Damien has the title for a few months Finn might take the title from Damien. Who knows
It’s a funny scenario but tbh I’d be pissed If they gave Finn the win just to lose it instantly he deserves a long reign not just a shitty way of passing the title to Damien.
I honestly appreciate that The Bloodline story isn't giving us as fans what we desire and is constantly delivering twists and turns in the story. I knew that Jimmy would show up yesterday, but I had no idea he would actually betray his brother and screw him out of beating Roman. It may hurt now, but depending on where the story goes it might end up being a brilliant choice.
well its like a dr tv show, which is also tiring because there is no end to nothing, and things are not as they presented them to be in the first place.
I love that last sentence. Wrestling fans are always overreacting in the first moment without even considering where the story is gonna go down the line. I feel like we should give it time to see where it goes
I’m not mad at the decision to have Jimmy turn on Jey, but the buildup for it felt very underutilized. They’ve been together in this industry for so long and considering they never betrayed each other before, the lead up to it needed to have a lot more depth imo. It doesn’t feel as fleshed out as most stuff in The Bloodline Story.
It doesn't feel fleshed out yet because we don't yet know the exact reasons. It might be a thing where the reasons have been there the whole time but we never saw it, and if they do one of those packages that shows us all the hints from years ago that we never noticed, then it could all make sense in a great big twist. Maybe it won't happen this way, but we don't know yet. Just because it doesn't yet seem fleshed out doesn't mean that it actually isn't is all I'm saying.
@@metashadow3924 Yeah that’s a completely fair and true take, but my main problem is I don’t see how they can justify how Jimmy helped Roman win whether it was intentional or not. I think this would’ve been a lot better if Roman won the match, then he and Solo jump Jey to finish the job, then Jimmy comes out to fend them off. But when the Usos go to embrace each other, Jimmy kicks Jey. In that scenario he betrays his brother without helping Roman, the man who he literally just betrayed 2 PPV’s ago. Nonetheless this isn’t the worst thing that could’ve happened, unless WWE makes Jimmy team up with Roman witch would be horrible. But you’re not wrong we just gotta wait and see. Hoping for the best
If you watched the segment carefully, Jimmy left immediately after kicking Jay. I don't think his intention was to help Roman, but it was rather to cost Jay his match. The seeds for this storyline have been planted since 2020, ever since Jay became Main Event Jay Uso. Jimmy left, and Jey took advantage to get the spotlight on himself trying to win the Universal Championship. He returns, and Jey still gets spotlight on himself with the Sami and Bloodline storyline. It was literally all Jey and Sami and Jimmy was left behind as a background character. Then Jimmy injures again, and Jey immediately tries to win the WWE championship. Even before that, Jey still had the spotlight. Remember that Roman wanted Jey to succeed him as tribal chief and not Jimmy. Remember Jey pinned Roman at Money in the Bank, and not Jimmy. So, basically Jey grew to become more than just an Uso, while Jimmy was left to be just Jey's brother. Jey became even bigger than the Usos tag team itself. So it makes a lot of sense for this to happen.
Imma be honest, the Roman vs Jey matches in front of the virtual geeks was way better than the match they had in a full stadium with 60,000 actual live fans
@@Tommaso-nf5my Man I agree... It made ZERO sense. Roman agreed to a Tribal Combat during the contract signing, which is why he stopped Solo from spiking Jey. Now, he was literally cool with Solo doing most of the work for him lmao. It really made Roman look like a pussy. On top of that, the dead ass crowd during their entrances, and Jimmy turning on Jey (which really diminishes 3 years of their character development), I really was not feeling it either...
@@ProjectBaby40I was there too, and it seemed more like the crowd didn't know who they wanted. We went from singing Rollins's music to getting hype at every bit of momentum Balor managed to get at the drop of a dime
I didnt like the betrayal bc it didn't make sense to me. The reason of my feelings are hurt and I'm jealous isn't as strong as the feelings should be of the person who hospitalized you, bullied, abused mentally and physically, manipulated you. Why help that person win just pretending like the past few months haven't happened just to have a "shocking" summerslam turn that felt like out of nowhere with no development towards it.
Yes I agree with that 100%. Now that they made that stupid decision let's hope that they realise it and change the reason to something that would be unique and unexpected. I want 3 things. 1) Jimmy shouldn't join Solo & Roman again and should be alone. 2) Jealousy shouldn't be the reason why he turned on Jey. It should be something else, more meaningful and deep. 3) Roman & Solo shouldn't het involved in this story and they should do a separate story with those two.
@@tylerb8373 Thank you lol. Fans are so conditioned to crappy story telling that they refuse to let this one play out without being negative at every twist and turn.
Jimmy has Stockholm Syndrome it's that simple. People take up for their abusers all the time. There's tons of reasons it could be, just have to be a little bit more complex in the way you think about stories. I like when everything isn't predictable. Keep it going... they'll make it make sense. 😊
I think WWE buried Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre. They are having too many defeats. This was undoubtedly the best moment for Finn Balor to be champion, Seth Rollins could regain the title later but Finn had to have won yesterday.
Yep I had to work after the PLE, so I took my shower during Rousey vs Bazzler, I get it had a lot of build, but I felt all along that was the match to cut, not Stratus vs Lynch (note the Battle Royal was unecessary and should have been left off, but they weren't gonna do that with advertisement money on the line. I think LA needs some honing in ring but his mic skills deserve that push)
Im honestly fine with the ending of Logan v Ricochet. Logan winning with a classic heel move, and also, Logan doesnt actually have a real finisher. The last time he won a 1v1 was stealing his opponents finisher, so he doesn't actually have a finisher.
don't care how good Logan is. He is a Lier who scammed tons of people (his fans) and not giving them back their money, that's why he workin for WWE to get his big paychecks so he doesn't have to repay each and everyone he scammed with his own pocket (can't even say he payed them back, it's been months ago now).
I hated the fact that Jimmy betrayed Jey, they could have put Roman in the clear, but I know that this is a desire of the twins, to face each other at Wrestlemania but from the point of view of the story told it makes zero sense.
Dude it makes total sense. Jimmy mad at jey cause jey was focused on status and the championship then his brother. That’s what they gonna say it was I bet.
I'm disappointed that Brock and Cody didn't fall in love at the end, they tricked us with the lovey dovey promo...was excepting more then a handshake, hope I'm not alone on this😪
Little thing I want to see happen but probably wont. Cody gets traded for LA Knight, LA night goes and eventually takes the IC title from Gunther so then Gunther can move into the main event picture and Cody can start setting up for Roman v. Cody 2 at WM 40.
If you have a hard time understanding why Jimmy did what he did then watch their interview awhile ago. They've wanted a feud for awhile now specially at WM. This not only continuous the bloodline story but another feud like Brett vs Owen. Also that ending to Brock vs Cody oozed with new Japan wrestling story telling which I appreciate. Cody's big hurdle ever since coming back from injury is can he when big and keep up with serious title runs. What better to show he can vs The Beast and that's why Brock did what he did and both did wrestling over at Japan so them doing this type of story brings a tear to this wrestling fan. All and all SummerSlam is easily the 2nd best ppv this year
I think LA knight winning was the WWE testing the waters seeing the reaction from the crowd if he won. I was in Detroit. His entrance and the win were the loudest reactions of the night
Jey vs Jimmy at Wrestlemania would be crazy. Jey has received so much of the spotlight starting with Jimmys injury in 2020. Everyone talks about Main Event Jey Uso, and out of all 4 members of the Bloodline, Jimmy has been seen as the least important. Roman the tribal chief, Main Event Jey Uso and The enforcer Solo Sikoa, then it’s just Jimmy. Jimmy has been as crucial to the story as anyone. He was the one hesitant to join in 2020/21. He pulled Jey out of the Bloodline at Night of Champions, yet Jimmy seems like the secondary twin. Those two need a fued, because the story is right there.
i find this betrayal so stupid becuse it hasnt been a few months since kicking roman in the face, then Jimmy got "injured" then all of that to betray Jey in a match? there wasnt a hint of it to make it look plausible.
Jey was always told he was the Right Hand man and given all the attention. If you thought Jimmy would be cool with that, I am shocked at how oblivious you were to the signs. Jimmy never hid his personal ambition at all and Jey was making him feel small. Jimmy did not leave the Bloodline because of moral reasons. He left because he felt disrespected. His ego matters a lot to him.
Good matches, questionable booking. Not really upset over the heel turn, it’s just I saw it coming a mile away. I knew Roman wasn’t losing and I also knew he wasn’t gunna win clean. Like without interference I mean. Giving it was summer slam, I knew something big would happen. If solo simply came in, interfered and Roman won, that would’ve been anti climatic. Than again idk I was a little dissappointed but at the same time good heel work I guess
While I don’t think the Jimmy twist was necessarily terrible, I do think it was terribly unnecessary lol. I’m sure things will come around cause they haven’t freaky disapointed with the bloodline yet but at this point it is starting to feel like it’s being over written even if the pay off does come sometimes the best stories are the simplest.
Personally, I think Roman putting the belt on the table saying he didn't care about it, but damn near crying when he had to take off the ley shows that Cody should have won at WM, and that could have been the catalyst for all of this. The belt isn't needed to make this what it is. Also, if Jimmy was going to turn on Jey (predictable), JEY should have been the one to leave first. How I would've done it: Kevin and Sammy win night 1, Cody wins night 2. Bloodline comes out of WM decimated. Jey starts questioning Roman's leadership. Saying it's HIS time now to bring them back to the top. Roman continues to bully the Uso's, blaming their loss on night 1 for his loss on night 2. He wants to challenge Cody to a rematch, but knows he has to get his house in order first. Then, everything plays out as it did, but with Jey being the one to convince Jimmy to join him and leave Roman. The beat down happens as it did, with Roman and Solo telling Jey if he keeps going down this path of mutiny, that Jimmy's fate will become Jey's fate. Jimmy is in the hospital and Jey presses forward, challenging Roman for tribal chief and SS plays out like it did. But now, Jimmy's betrayal makes sense because he sees Jey as the reason his family is falling apart, and what got him hurt. He calls Jey greedy and impatient. Roman, having won the battle w/Jey, challenges Cody at Payback. However, being worn down from the fight with Jey, and still dealing with family turmoil, loses. The family continues to break down, leading to the inevitable fatal 4 way between all of them, with Jey winning and becoming the tribal chief. The RR winner challenges for the WHC title, elevating it's status, and Jey takes on Cody at WM in PHI, winning to end Cody's 1 year run. Jey faces Solo at Backlash. Then faces Jimmy at NOC, takes of MITB, and faces Roman at SS again next year, this time for the Chip and ley. Jey wins, and Jimmy wins RR next year setting up Jey v Jimmy II at WM. Cody gets his 1 year run. Jey gets his. Jimmy and Jey get their big WM matchup. Everyone wins, and Roman can be a part timer w/o holding a championship hostage.
I am confused like why now? I was thinking like 4 brothers clashing at royal rumble in tribal combat But may be they will do it and theu are sowing seeds now. Idk. May be its rush, may be its time. The storyline progression will reveal the answer.
I was at the show and I can honestly say that the crowd was kinda over everything by the end of it. The 4 hour shows are just not it anymore… great matches tho. Had a good time
I was so angry about Asuka losing the title.......until Iyo cashed in on Bianca. Now I'm glad that Bianca won so she could lose it seconds later. Perfect!
I think the upset was Roman never defending championship fair, i know he's a heel but its the same cheap victory not like the pendimic where he Smash'em & Stack'em. But i like it(Jimmy turning) cause we thought that there's no more story to tell yet where we are still talking about The Bloodline and Roman stated that Jimmy was the initial choice for the right hand man which he wasn't because of his injury.
Fr, I was counting the one-two-three with my hands and I thought it was gonna end there considering the two moves leading up to the Coup de Gras, but Seth just kicked out
Ya gotta love how the Great One is holding the Divas Championship. IYO cashing in, Cody shaking hands with Brock, and LA Knight (yeah!) winning were the highlights of the show. The rest was just ok (except the Ronda v Shayna match, which didn’t help either woman). Coulda been better, but could have been worse.
I think this is all about Jimmy wanting Jey to stand by his side while he's injured but instead cares more about the title and the tribal chief position
I was suspecting Jimmy would turn on Jey eventually because while Jimmy has been away Jey became “Main Event” becoming the right hand man, getting world title shots and getting chances at becoming The Tribal Chief. Jey is the twin that is over and Jey seems to be way more focused on titles and tribal chief rather than his injuried brother. Of course I don’t blame Jey because first singles title and it can be the world champ as well as becoming Tribal Chief with it. It is a great way to get 2 singles stars with face Jey and heel Jimmy
I honestly really enjoyed Summerslam, though my 12yr old was debating things that were wrong about it. 🤣 Also, that Brock and Cody moment at the end was great!
People are missing a huge detail about Jimmy’s betrayal. It doesn’t mean he’s siding with Roman. Key details, Roman seemed confused after it happened, he wasn’t clued in on this. Jimmy didn’t toss Jey into the ring to get pinned, he didn’t even look at Roman or Solo. This was between Jey and Jimmy. Side note though, Paul Heyman looked like he knew something which interests me. I wonder what’s going on. Regardless, Roman wasn’t involved in this attack. UPDATE: Heyman is absolutely involved. I watched it again, he stood behind Jimmy with a sinister look. That’s done on purpose. He’s doing work behind Roman’s back.
This is what i've been saying ,i'm glad there are fans that see the deatils.I understand people will have their opinions but it seems some fans just love to complain lol
I think the turn was good and I think it makes sense because during this whole story for the past 3 years it's Main Event Jey Uso and Jimmy hasn't done much and could say that he doesn't get any attention essentially I mean Jey has had 2 title matches so I think it can be similar to the Jeff and Matt Hardy rivalry in 2009 but not to that extreme with the shenanigans
There’s so much hubbub about the Bloodline that not enough people mention Balor. He’s almost certainly going to be just a midcard guy going forward bummed me out so much Jimmy never wanted to see Jey succeed so much without him, it’s what Heyman and Roman says right before Jey turned on them. Solo will eventually split, when Roman is finally alone that’s when he will lose
Finn definitely should have won i felt the story would have come full circle with him and Seth - unless they are planning on letting Damian cash in and then Finn and Damian clashing up wrestlemania for Finn to get his wrestlemania moment
Difference between SummerSlam 2022 and 23 is that 22 was great mostly because of the main event between Brock and Roman, while 23 had great matches, the main event caused chaos and the whole crowd started F chants
Bruh 22 had couple great matches great moments its better than this years the cody vs brock and ronda vs shayna and the battle royal matches just werent it
@@waluigijalapeno2080if you were there, yall were one of the weakest crowds of the year. Granted everything wasn't stellar. But Detroit doesn't need an PPV/RAW/AEW or any other show for another 20 years or so.
I was shocked people said this was bad. I thought this was a great twist. People who say the “Bloodline saga was supposed to end then” are insane. This storyline has carried WWE for years, why end it? Jimmy turning on Jey creates an even bigger feud than Jey vs Roman, hence Jimmy vs Jey. I loved this summerslam personally. Highlight was Cody vs Brock tho imo
Its funny, now all the bloodline fans got exactly what everyone else gets for 3 years. A brilliant story they wanted a clean finish to (win or loss) decided by outside Uso interference, Roman wins lol. I absolutely love the bloodline, its one of the greatest story told in wwe ever and thats exactly what im here for (storytelling > actual wrestling). But the finish of matches is part of said story. And its makes it gradually worse. The matches are exactly the same for three years and its nothing but statpadding anymore. I just want 1. a champion and 2. a clean finish. Im also the opinion that a *family bloodfeud* doesnt need a title to be told, but people seem to disagree.
I know I keep saying that Jimmy vs Jey is a dream match for me I've wanted it for a long time and they really probably did this because Roman won't be at payback
When it happened, it was so shocking and that's what they want. Shock factor and major response either negative or positive, this is storyline hook at it's peak. Also, the usos have been talking abt like facing each other at wrestlemania for a while now, that's been their dream so ig this is just the fulfillment of that dream. Would love to see it!! Shock factor 10!!
I just hope that Jimmys betrayal was a big set off to introduce The Rock into the Bloodline Saga. Hes currently on strike so hes got more time than ever. And now that Jimmy turned on Jey its a 3v1. Jey will need someone to atleast even the playing field and that person should be The Rock
If the rock didn’t return tonight than why would he come back in the near future?? And u call it a 3v1 and we don’t even know why Jimmy even turned on Jey. But there really can be only one answer and it’s that Jimmy is jealous of Jey and also hurt. Jimmy wasn’t trying to help Roman
I am so upset that the betrayal happened, I was literally waiting for the moment to see Roman loses his title but no Jimmy just ruined it, Jimmy was either jealous or the bloodline set us and Jey up the whole time
I like this outlook, wresting doesn’t have to be so deep and we don’t need to be so angry, it’s entertainment, and as long as it gets a reaction, you’re entertained
I'd have to agree that Jimmy turning wasn't as bad as people think it is, I mean like at least give the man a smackdown to explain WHY he did it. People react a little to soon on this one
I agree with ur point regarding Lesnar Vs Rhodes..it felt like Brock was teaching Cody to toughen up for Roman and he did. It makes sense too cause Brock was the one who made the most matches with Roman as Tribal Chief
I don't understand why are so many people overreacting and saying Jimmy turning on Jey doesn't make sense. But it's simple Jimmy got jealous because Jey got the spotlight. Even many times in real life brothers starts to hate each other for jealousy.
Jealously is a bullshit reason. Jimmy convinced Jey to stand up to Roman, storyline wise this is going nowhere but backwards & it made Jimmy look like an idiot by helping the guy who took him out. Awful booking can’t be justified.
@@dannyliebs702 Or it’s not just jealousy, it’s that Jimmy also feels like Jey is taking advantage of Jimmy being hurt so Jey tried to get His championship matches, If u honestly think about it, A couple weeks back Jimmy and Jey were attacked by Roman and solo, Jimmy was taken to the hospital then Jey later in the night challenged Roman, He left Jimmy in the hospital and Challenged roman for the championship and also challenged for the tribal Chief position after Jey told Jimmy he doesn’t wanna be tribal chief
It doesn't make any sense. At least they were planting the seeds of doubt with Balor/Priest/Judgement Day. THAT betrayal makes sense if/when it happens. But the angle of Jimmy being jealous of Jey is so obscure. They were literally standing against Roman/Solo together with no issues up until Jimmy got hurt. Now all of a sudden he's jealous and to the point where he cost Jey the title and tribal chief? I don't believe it.
Roman and heyman had been telling jey that jimmy was jealous of him, that he was against jey being the next tribal chief. Jimmy even admitted to it and jey kinda ignored it and turned around to superkick roman. That should have been the moment fans questioned or complained about, not when jimmy betrayed jey. It was foreshadowed.
@@theonlygoodonehere2259Jimmy has been shown to see through roman and Paul's gaslighting. You expect me to believe that this man would be convinced to betray his brother by the people who hospitalized him just because Paul Heyman said so on smackdown? Jimmy would go back to the guy who bullied his brother side? It basically retconed everything from mania to mitb.
@@10acious32 its crazy how people like you haven't noticed, jimmy isn't siding with roman, he did it out of jealousy, he straight up said it in his promo against him, how do you guys miss it, you guys don't pay attention or something? jey breaking the tag team to take the titles from roman and rising to the top without jimmy, makes him jealous and it makes sense
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 exactly the fans that are complaining should be mad at themselves for letting stuff go over their head lol then again some fans just love to complain
I don't think he needs it, the meter was more of a comedic thing since Santino was more of a comedic character. If it's used as a serious manner and an important stat, then it would work
I think they should have did like this- Jimmy comes at the end and attacks both Roman and solo giving the impression that he has come to help jey but then he superkicks the shit out of jey and beats him crazy, and then Roman crawls over to pin jey, that it would have been clear that Jimmy is on no one's side which should still happen btw, and honestly I am just disappointed with the match more than how it ended because the match didn't hit like it should have, that's my only gripe about that main event
I thought it was great and I didn’t understand all the hate with people saying WWE what’re you doing not even letting them get the chance to flesh anything out
Because wwe doesn’t do logic things he’ll Cody hit Brock with the steel steps and didn’t get DQ for it and the jimmy turning jey doesn’t makes sense at all they could have wait till 2024 and they hot shot it
@@Notoriouswrestlingfan12314but all I’m saying is before we say it doesn’t make sense let’s at least wait and hear a jimmy promo if it still makes absolutely no sense then I’ll be with you but first I want to give them a chance
@theGreatOne I think it’s time for a bad blood feud between the two brothers like I think they should do a 3 round first blood match at payback or extreme rules to settle the matters that come into their own hands.
Jimmy isn’t with Roman or else he would’ve went up the ramp with him like solo & Paul, he did it for his own narcissistic / selfish and jealous reasons lmao
@@MesameBendictaBut Dom didn’t turn for the judgment day , he turned for himself and then got recruited into the judgement day, If Jimmy was doing this for Roman wouldn’t he walk off with Roman? Makes 0 sense because he actually did it for his own selfish reasons.
What they should have done is if Jey was booked to win the match. Have Jimmy return that same night and assist Jey but turn on him on Raw. I wouldn't mind having them feud and give Roman some time off
Well Jimmy is angry with jay when he was injured instead of helping him in hospital jay went that same night to challenge for wwe title and tribal chief position when they said they don't want anything from roman but equal respect he think jay as a selfish opportunist
Remember when Jey was injured and Jimmy sat on commentary and waited for him to come back before wrestling again? Jimmy got hurt 2 times and both times Jey went into business for himself and tried to become Tribal Chief. Who cares more about who?
Nah. It's like this every match with Roman. People get mad because so and so should've won and it's getting tiring. Roman is doing his job well if he's constantly getting this reaction from people.
I noticed during the battle royal Michael Cole said "wwe executives will be watching this match to see who wins to potentially be in line for a title shot" so hopefully this means we see LA Knight challenge for a world title soon
For me SummerSlam just knocked it out of the park. Logan vs Ricochet was fire, just an acrobatic clinic plus Logan won so that was great. I love that they involved Samantha into it all. She did great. Cody and Brock was one of the three matches I didn't give a shit about but the match itself was great, it's Cody and Brock they probably would never have a bad match but the end handshake just elevated the match and opened up so many possibilities for this, as of yet, pointless rivalry. I skipped Shayna vs Rhonda, don't know, don't care. Drew vs Gunther was as hard hitting as I wanted it to be. Gunther win clean which elevates him but the Drew made himself known in the match so he's not losing much momentum losing to Gunther in my opinion. The Battle Royal while a consolation prize for Knight fans was entertaining for what it was. I thought for sure they wouldn't let Knight win, just get him to the final four for us fans and then eliminate him, but that didn't happen. Yeah! The World Championship match was good until the Judgment Day came out and then it became great. It was well done how Damien wants to see the Judgment Day win while Finn is suspicious of his intentions. Good silent storytelling. Priest to me is elevating himself very quickly with this Judgment Day infighting. He could very well be our next World Champion soon and I don't mind it at all. Now comes the third match I didn't give a shit about. The womens triple threat. It was boring as fuck until Bianca got 'injured' the triple threat injury spot to make it a singles match for a while has been done so many times before so it was predicatable but Bianca did sell the injury well. The finish was great, witn the mist and the figure 8 and the roll up. Bianca Wins Lol. But then came the cash in and that was just awesome. Just about made it the best match of the night. Congrats Iyo. The Bloodline match was of course stellar. I love the slow deliberation I Romans match's, Roman is fighting half the crowd along with fighting the oppenent in the ring, like always. I don't enjoy No DQ matches but for what this was, I liked it. The Solo interference could have been annoying but Solo was really questioning his loyalties throughout the match, and then the end happened and I loved it. The twins have never turned on each other and I think this is all a Paul Heyman manipulation, Grima Wormtongue style. But I can't wait to see what develops. Five Star PPV! Better than Mania in my opinion.
I think the crowd was dead during Roman vs Jey due to the rest of the show actually being hype! See, the crowd just saw Logan vs Rico which was great! They saw LA with a Battle Royal, yeah! They saw Seth and Finn Burn It DOWN! Drew and Gunther hitting each other hard! By the time the Main Event came, yikes, energy was gone from most people.
I think Cody needs a new finisher. His current finisher has become too weak. He always has to hit multiple of them to get a finish. Plus it doesn't look strong. His moveset in general doesn't look great.
You know I always felt this but didn't wanna say it because I liked Cody. But then again it's like,I can't think of any other moves he could use at this point it's his trademark.
I don't know about ya'll but I really liked the Jimmy twist. Wasn't the angle before Jey betraying Roman was that Jimmy was the jealous twin? To the point that Jimmy said he's the Tribal Chief in a segment. Later on, it was confirmed that he didn't like Jey getting all the spotlight, especially succeeding in things without him. That's why the confrontation between Jey and Jimmy literally before the superkick to Roman was great since despite all the stuff that Jimmy was pulling, Jey's willing to forgive and forget for his twin. So all this talk that, "this came out of nowhere and makes no sense" regardless if you liked it or not is just false. It's been built and acknowledged in segments. Breadcrumbs were littered since WWE trusts that viewers would catch and understand the possible setup. I guess that isn't true since most didn't get it for some reason lol Another thing the WWE can add more to bring this home is the fact that the two times Jey fought Roman in the Thunderdome era, Jimmy was there to hoist up the towel. Telling Jey to give up even if he himself still wanted to fight. This can shed more light that deep inside, Jimmy didn't want Jey to be the Tribal Chief since then and wanted to cover it up by pretending that he just wanted Jey to be safe. Its honestly compelling since if that's true, it means Jimmy believes Jey can beat Roman. Whether what I think is right or wrong, I'm loving the journey bay bay!
I think people don’t like the decision because jey lost. Don’t know what people expected, they aren’t gonna have Roman lose at anything other than Wrestlemania
Do you think Jimmy turned on Jey because he thought Jey cared more about the title and being the tribal chief than Jimmy's injury? Was he just jealous of his brother's spotlight? Let me know your predictions
NO
No, but i won't be surprised that WWE gives that as a reason
Both
it's just jealousy

Agreed!
I love that last sentence. Wrestling fans are always overreacting in the first moment without even considering where the story is gonna go down the line. I feel like we should give it time to see where it goes
We've already seen it. They're just trying to extend this reign and I'm fed up of it
@@imthatjay Currently it looks like its going towards Cody v Roman II at Mania. If that is true it is a worse ending imo...
Jimmy did it for the Rock... he did it, for the people.
@YoRezzi I think that's the point here. Not to sound like an ass, but this is the type of writing WWE is known for. Especially 20 years ago.

The point is it shouldn't make sense, yet. Its a reason to keep watching so you find out why on Smackdown. Jimmy will explain himself.
Exactly
I think WWE buried Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre. They are having too many defeats. This was undoubtedly the best moment for Finn Balor to be champion, Seth Rollins could regain the title later but Finn had to have won yesterday.
Yep I had to work after the PLE, so I took my shower during Rousey vs Bazzler, I get it had a lot of build, but I felt all along that was the match to cut, not Stratus vs Lynch
(note the Battle Royal was unecessary and should have been left off, but they weren't gonna do that with advertisement money on the line.
I say he should just use the buckshot lariat
I hope WWE does more international shows because that crowd was awful. American crowds are always 50/50.
That crowd ruined the vibe.
And half of their chants was censored so it didn't help them at all
"The whole storyline sucked, none of it was good, they all tricked us." Damn that escalated.
don't care how good Logan is.

Little thing I want to see happen but probably wont. Cody gets traded for LA Knight, LA night goes and eventually takes the IC title from Gunther so then Gunther can move into the main event picture and Cody can start setting up for Roman v. Cody 2 at WM 40.
after gunther broke the record of course
I think sheamus is gonna get the ic title soon. He really wants to be a grand slam champion
Although its kinda hard to watch Jimmy betraying Jey, i appreciate that they show us that Jey clearly would've won if he had not been interrupted
Thank you , someone gets it
I’m worried they’re gonna rush it and have Jimmy vs Jey BEFORE Mania, the first singles match between them NEEDS to be at WrestleMania
I want this to happen but It CAN’T happen before Mania
i find this betrayal so stupid becuse it hasnt been a few months since kicking roman in the face, then Jimmy got "injured" then all of that to betray Jey in a match? there wasnt a hint of it to make it look plausible.
I wish the LA Knight push was more organic. It felt like a "here, damn" win
Brock VS Cody makes me respect them FAR more.
They used everything!
They used their whole energy, they were brutal and painful.
Loved it!
Going to summerslam was phenomenal🔥
Agree
Good matches, questionable booking. Not really upset over the heel turn, it’s just I saw it coming a mile away. I knew Roman wasn’t losing and I also knew he wasn’t gunna win clean. Like without interference I mean. Giving it was summer slam, I knew something big would happen. If solo simply came in, interfered and Roman won, that would’ve been anti climatic. Than again idk I was a little dissappointed but at the same time good heel work I guess
The only thing that wouldn’t make sense about Brock prepping Cody is why then would he break his arm to prep him lol.
How I would've done it:
Kevin and Sammy win night 1, Cody wins night 2. Everyone wins, and Roman can be a part timer w/o holding a championship hostage.
perfection
I think the reason Cody didn't get DQd from the stairs was because the stairs are technically part of the ring
I am confused like why now?
I was thinking like 4 brothers clashing at royal rumble in tribal combat
But may be they will do it and theu are sowing seeds now. Idk.
May be its rush, may be its time.
The storyline progression will reveal the answer.
I was at the show and I can honestly say that the crowd was kinda over everything by the end of it. The 4 hour shows are just not it anymore… great matches tho. Had a good time
Totally agree, some dude kept screaming behind me how boring Roman was
International crowds seem completely fine with 4 hours. I think it’s just most of the US crowds. They tend to suck the life out of the arena.
Brh you are the only one who explain this bloodline saga clean thanks @great one alwyas love your vids ❤

The editing has been on point lately
I was suspecting Jimmy would turn on Jey eventually because while Jimmy has been away Jey became “Main Event” becoming the right hand man, getting world title shots and getting chances at becoming The Tribal Chief. Jey is the twin that is over and Jey seems to be way more focused on titles and tribal chief rather than his injuried brother.
Of course I don’t blame Jey because first singles title and it can be the world champ as well as becoming Tribal Chief with it. It is a great way to get 2 singles stars with face Jey and heel Jimmy
Chad had such a good showing in the Battle Royal, I hope he gets a push of his own.

It was my first summer slam that I’ve watched so it was definitely a 10/10 for me
People are missing a huge detail about Jimmy’s betrayal.
He’s almost certainly going to be just a midcard guy going forward bummed me out so much
Jimmy never wanted to see Jey succeed so much without him, it’s what Heyman and Roman says right before Jey turned on them.
I think because jey cared about becoming tribal chief more than jimmy in the hospital

Imagine if we'd get Roman v Cody for Wrestlemania and when the bloodline interferes, Brock and Sami etc. come out to make sure they dont
Another great video
Well Jimmy is angry with jay when he was injured instead of helping him in hospital jay went that same night to challenge for wwe title and tribal chief position when they said they don't want anything from roman but equal respect he think jay as a selfish opportunist
Remember when Jey was injured and Jimmy sat on commentary and waited for him to come back before wrestling again? Jimmy got hurt 2 times and both times Jey went into business for himself and tried to become Tribal Chief. Who cares more about who?
I just don’t care. The bloodline have made me not care because wwe has made it clear they’re the only ones that matter
TheGreatOne’s new catchphrase:
*something, something, “right?”😂
Disappointing. Roman should’ve lost the championship to Cody at WM, but since Cody lost Jey should’ve won.
That would make too much sense.
After every Roman match:
"______ should've won."
Nah. It's like this every match with Roman. People get mad because so and so should've won and it's getting tiring. Roman is doing his job well if he's constantly getting this reaction from people.
I expected the match between roman and jey to be one of the best match in SummerSlam history , but it was fu*king boring
i think la knight got the biggest reaction of the night after winning
I noticed during the battle royal Michael Cole said "wwe executives will be watching this match to see who wins to potentially be in line for a title shot" so hopefully this means we see LA Knight challenge for a world title soon
LA Knights music interrupting Roman would break the internet. They won’t give us that though.
@@nicholassolis1048 that'd be insaneeee
@@nicholassolis1048you got your wish
Thanks The Great One!
Hey, I wonder if you saw someone in the crowd was holding up a sign with your TH-cam logo on it that was pretty cool
Really?? Completely missed it
I don't know about ya'll but I really liked the Jimmy twist.
I guess that isn't true since most didn't get it for some reason lol
Another thing the WWE can add more to bring this home is the fact that the two times Jey fought Roman in the Thunderdome era, Jimmy was there to hoist up the towel.
