Jiselle I do not have this tool, but as a paper crafter I highly recommend measuring twice and only cutting once. You can make measurement guides in your digital copy of the notepad so once you are ready to cut you have those guides to help you make precise cuts. Chipboard or backer board is challenging to cut, but you can make a template to the size of the notepad backer and easily bulk cut for each project/product. Then you will have all the backer pieces to your notepads all ready to be glued to your notepads. I also recommend using binder clips to hold the papers together before adding them to the book press ( this helps with bulk projects), and getting a silicone mat to keep your cutting tool stable so that you are safe when cutting. As a card maker; I print all my base cards first in the various sizes then I bulk cut and score them so that when I am ready to make a card I have majority of my steps already completed. If you are creating as a business, it is best to work out the systems that would suit you best so that products and time are saved. I really hope these tips helps you. I have been looking into purchasing a heavy duty guillotine paper cutter with guides, but just haven't decided what I wanted to go with. In the mean time I have the Fiskars ProCision Rotary Bypass Paper Trimmer - 12"
@@legacybuilder9664 hey! Thank you so much! I was struggling so bad with my cut and a few days ago, it occurred to me to add bleed and cut lines to my notepads 🤣🤣🤣 It has been a game changer for the last few days! I can’t believe I didn’t realize to do that sooner. I’m definitely going to try all these tips that you added on this comment. I truly appreciate it!
@@LindaMZH65 thank you so much! I’m going to try that too! I did send them a video because I tried to stack of paper with no chip board and it still had the same issue. It didn’t cut the last four pages. 😞 are you by any chance having the same issue?
@@JiselleMadeIt. I don’t have one of these, I recall Lolly saying that tip in one of her videos regarding the use of this tool. However you get it fixed - good luck! 😘
@@Princess_karen thank you! I have tried, but it still doesn’t go through 😞 I’ve been using a dumb sheet that’s what the company recommended and they refunded me some of the money
@ I agree. They offered a replacement too, but said that all the machines do the same thing and I couldn’t find enough information to see that it didn’t. Overall I really do like it so honestly, I’m glad they gave me a partial refund. If that wasn’t an option, I would’ve definitely returned it. I tried the other big industrial one, but I’ve been having issues with that one too. 🤣🤣🤣 that’s why I got this one. Hopefully they are able to fix this issue and maybe make an updated model.
I believe your cutter should have come with 4 rubber feet to keep it from sliding. I have watched other videos on this cutter and they had the rubber feet
@@JiselleMadeIt. that is just not good business to me. If it is supposed to be a cutter, why does the customer have to make all these adjustments to make it work???!!! SMH

Just what I’ve been looking for, tfs😊.
You videos have been helpful to watch. My cutter came today, so excited!
Thank you!!! I hope you love it as much as I do!!! ❤
After measuring the pad to find your cut spot, turn it over and have the chipboard backing on top. It should cut through everything properly. 😘

Shelf liner underneath it should prevent it from sliding.
@@jalh3 thank you that’s a great idea!!! 🥰
Thanks! I have plenty!!
this changes everything!!!!!!!!!!
I think if you Press harder and it should go through the chip board. Great video, thank you so much.

Can you provide the names and/or links for the products you bought on Amazon? Thanks.

Hey! Mine does have black circles on the bottom but they feel more like plastic than rubber so it still slides a bit
@ and that’s just not right. Something that heavy needs rubber pads to grip the surface
If I cannot cut chipboard, then it’s a worthless product for me
@@bobbyspapercraft I get that! I need to reach out to them because it is a big deal, but the cuts are so good 😆😖
I also messaged them regarding the issue. We will see what they say.
I have the same issue, reached out to them and they were no help!!!
@ they told me to add a dummy sheet at the end 😖
