Today MandJTV Plays and I are attempting the Pokemon Challenge Last To Survive Unlimited Pokemon Battles Wins. Both of us have to pick a Starter Pokemon, level it up to the same level, and then battle against hordes of unlimited wild Pokemon until our Pokemon faints. Whichever Starter Pokemon has gained the most experience at the end wins the Pokemon competition for their trainer! Mew's best level up learnset at level 33 is psychic, mega punch, transform and metronome.... Not a bad moveset chance in the end
Definitely a risky one. Metronome can either give you soft-boiled and give you a second wind after you transform, or it can get explosion.
It also gets pound, right?
Yeah. I'd go Pound over Mega Punch here since it has more PP and accuracy, power doesn't matter if you're OHKOing everything no matter whay.
metronome is the only way to hit sableye/spiritomb but that is so rare.
I would rather have pound than transform because u are going to 100% take damage or get a status if u use transform

Trubbish is pretty bulky, especially when it evolves, and it can learn some pretty decent moves

At first I looked away at the exact moment John got Driflimb and thought that he took the earbuds off because Mikey started to talk about the other game's lore.
I honestly think this concept can improve alot. I think you guys should do battle frontier like battles (3v3) where you have you both pick separate teams and battle until you lose so strategy is a major way of winning
Well if they did that John would win every time cause of his competitive experience

Also as they mentioned time doesn’t work because you can just go slow
One thing I was concerned about was how you guys would approach it if you picked two different Pokémon with different growth rates, since that would mean they'd have different amounts of EXP even if they were the same level.
Fortunately, the only pair that ended up having different Pokémon (Ursaring and Sawk) consisted of two Pokémon in the Medium Fast category.
I thought that leveling groups only effected the experience needed for evolution, not how much they gain?
@@teamfossil6312 Yes, but since all pokemon are initially obtained exactly at whatever level they are, and different experience groups require different amounts of experience to reach any given level, if 2 pokemon are of different experience groups, and encountered at the same level, they would have different experience accumulated
@@cornflakes2761 right, but at the end, they go by who has the most total experience points, not level, so the leveling speed doesn't matter.
@@RabblesTheBinx That's what OP was worried about. If they take different experience groups, then unless they had some pain, such as checking where they were at exactly after the rare candies, one of them would have an unfair advantage
There's a setting that standardised the exp curve in the Universal Pokémon Randomizer. They could just use it if they want to redo this challenge.
I'm subscribed to Mikey's channel, and all the times I've heard him laugh, he's never sounded like that.

I mean, that is the namesake of Wichita, she was heading there with her sister who wanted to go to Little Rock. Columbus had family in Columbus and Tallahassee was from Tallahassee
Getting Mew with transform might have actually been the best move since it would have never ran out of pp. Mew would probably take 1 or 2 damage every fight but that's still stretches out your moves by SOOOOO much.
Though... thinking about it. Transform give you that pokemons stats besides HP so that could have also be BAD....
Also, Transform does loose PPs when you use it. So, what's the difference with a move that just OHKO the ennemy? Which is, considering the massive lvl difference, concern a LOT of move, if not all (except immunities of course).

What probably happened in round 2 is that since John’s dugtrio had better stats than mikey’s dugtrio he had an advantage, but it did not matter because he got poisoned.
The spoink would have been a better choice in round one. It evolves at level 32, which would have happened on the way to the route, and its move list has better coverage, plus rest to remove status conditions and health...
