I bought a build-it-yourself mixer.. with essentially no assembly instructions. There was a bag with a rubber sleeve and a small squarish shaped metal bar, mebe 35mm long. I couldn't work out where they were supposed to go so didn't get fitted. Mixer worked.. but now it doesn't (been standing awhile) What were they for and where should they have gone?
I bought one of those £99 ebay mixers which is identical to yours - saved me a lot of money and hassle - only downside is that Im now stuck with storing it.
I recently purchased one of these, is it normal to have a loud knocking noise coming from the shaft / great box... it has oil in the gear box already but sounds like there's bunch of spanners in the drum... Video uploading to my page now.
@12988Jake it was a bad batch apparently so if you still have receipts or purchase proof within a year you can exchange it, we'll that what I got told and done just that.
hello nice video, im thinking of getting one for a few jobs but put off by bad reviews. do you have a link or what modle make you got. any help would be good. thanks again
No idea on exact model, it was screwfix own brand a few years back and has seen hundreds of loads through it and going strong still. Little rust here and there and the odd bolt to tighten but all fine.
This was really helpful as my manual got wet and couldn't find anything online except your video. Thanks for sharing
Very helpful video. Bought mine months ago and the manual got all sodden and unreadable in the shed. Got it together in no time with your help.

Thought there might be a simple cover for the electric motor on this model Tim? It looks like the fastening holes are already drilled.
Nice. Been there done that with the late banging, doesn't go down too well with sleeping missus and kid!
Zed Man f%-# em... they can..the wife n child can mix the concrete by hand then.. simple

Mine does the same, a knocking noise when it’s loaded up, think it’s probably normal - ish!

@@caroldownes2840 interesting, I’ve only had mine for about a month, still a bad batch? Not sure!
@12988Jake ah that's odd, I'd still ask to exchange it though
@@caroldownes2840 will do 👍🏼
Thanks. I didn't need to read the instructions after watching that!

Are you still pleased with this mixer a couple of years on?
