Listening to this the all the feeling come rushing back. I was 14 and got pregnant by a guy I was kind of talking to at the time, he was 21. I look at it now and I can’t believe I begged my parents to not throw him in jail. Only if I knew now what I knew then. Thankfully I must have done something right in my daughters life. I graduated high school with a 3 yr old on my lap. I tried to teach her all the morals and values in life that will help her be a productive member of society. She is now 28 years old with a Masters Degree Cuma Sum Laude and pass all 4 parts of the CPA exam on the very first try. What an amazing woman and through her whole life I tried to teach her so many things but in the end it was her teaching me.

OMG I don't think your daughter has a clue how fortunate she is that you and your wife are allowing not only her but her fiance????? too? To stay in your beautiful home? But I'm sure you do it for your grandson. It's what we do as grandparents ❤ so great job to both you and your wife

I am little behind, but this was a terrific podcast! I was a young mom at 18, then a single mom of 3 by 29. It was not an easy job and I respect Christie for accepting her mom's help, but not demanding it like many young mom's do. Christie, I was 50 when I finished my Bachelor's Degree, so you can do it! My kids have grown into caring, compassionate and productive human beings and they are my biggest accomplishment. You got this!

I totally llllove the idea of generational homes. Grandparents, parents, kids, grandkids all under one roof. I, personally, see nothing wrong with it. It's love of family, support and strength, togetherness.

Families have been under attack in USA for many reasons. Money, control of the children are 2. Families are weakened greatly by divorce. Mothers and children suffer. I think many mothers wish they could stay home with their children as it used to be

You are balancing three generations with grace, love and wisdom. Your honesty and transparency are refreshing, as Kevin stated many of these sites only show the best situations. Nice job, looking forward to more.

I got pregnant at a time, almost Scarlet Letter time, years ago. We married and had a wonderful 53 years together. Our children are happy, successful adults and enriched our marriage beyond anything else. We're so blessed. You are, too!😊
PS .. We have a grandson named Archie.!!

Hi Kristine❤Thank you for sharing your story. And being honest on your decision of pro-choice. Being a young mom goals shouldn’t change. Be a veterinarian.
When women reach higher education and reach the peak of their careers. They pursue motherhood majority don’t return to work. I’ve seen this happen working in HR. I would say all the education they worked 0:03 hard for now they are struggling to pay for child care on top student debt. High Five to your Mom managing career and motherhood. She wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Just incredible. Kristine what a great mirror to mirror off of. Kristine your mom is tough. Pick up a couple of her moves and knock out any doubts you have out with them❤

Never think you are missing out cause you are a young mom. Your chronological order is just different. I can’t wait for the day your friends call you up for motherly advice why their baby can’t stop crying. You are like listen carefully to that cry..that cry means my diaper is dirty. Oh, and that cry means your baby is hungry😊. And Relax you will be fine. See you later on my way out for date night. Can’t believe my Archie is in junior school😊call me anytime for mommy advice. 0:06

Love your family. I can’t wait to become a grandparent. Both my husband and I are are excited whether they do or not. My husband and I had trauma with our oldest however, he did make it through a rare form of leukemia at the age of seven. He’s now 35 married for 9 years. We have a 27 year old son too. Autistic and very grateful he is with us. A wonderful human being etc.

Another important option to make mention of is, adoption. I'm happy, Christie, chose life for her baby. If another young woman out there is pregnant and definitely not ready to be a mother, adoption is a great option.

Breastmilk is the best for the baby - have you read the ingredients in formula? Listen as long as baby eats, that’s all that matters but breastmilk is better. European formula better the US formula. The government shouldn’t allow crap like oils and sugar into formula.
