We are running our kit versions with a 12v 180, Hobbywing 1625 esc and Hobbyking Turnigy 1000 mah 3s Lipo that just fits under the bonnet! Amazing trucks for the money, or lack of
Looks good and may have to get one to modify some or get the rtr and kit version to have stuff to swap around and extra parts . . Looks like it would be good for small course stuff and indoor type use compared to what I'm used to
So glad you did a review of these, the wife wanted one of these before we got her the B-1. now I'm going to have to get some of these to go with the military collection.. cant wait to see the next vid.

Looks like my next project ...great looking truck ..upgrades o yes ..I've seen in far east on TH-cam they have meets just for wpl type trucks ...big thumbs from me
The axles are longer but you can still fit the separate WPL metal parts if you pull the plastic ones off. The axle housings are a far better design, more robust and there is no play in the crown and pinion, mesh is probably a bit tight imo
It's cheap and it's good, but it needs some modifications for a more off-road ride. For those who just want to buy a ready-to-drive car, I would suggest buying MN-99S instead, which is not much more expensive, but comes with a stronger motor and a better steering.
Hey man thus the wpl upgrade kit that you mention in the link is the solutiom for the non proportional steering of the mn-90 RTR versions because i have one and the steering is truly sucks
Whats the difference between a 130 and 180 moter? Also what os a steering servo? Sorry if these are noobie questions i havent been into this hobby for a very long time
180 motors are slightly longer, and generally have more torque. Steering servo give proportional steering, rather than just left/right...on/off like the cheap motor driven steering these come with.
I kinda think WPL C14/24 are more 1/13 or 1/14 scale, for them being same size as their 1/16 scale B-1, which might even be 1/18 or 1/20 scale... lol tough call! my Subotech Brave claims 1/22 scale, and side by side to the B-1 has me thinking B-1 might be 1/24-ish! HELP US PLEASE!! they're messin with our heads!! EDIT... done the measuring, yes WPL C-14/24 are a 1/13 scale, so MN-D90 is a 1/12. does look like another candidate for what I did to my C24, wrapping the rims with 1/16" solid core solder wire between the tire beads (full up front, half full in rear), 3 wraps stretched electrical tape and a spot of CA to lock the tape. it helps traction, flex, and stability a bunch, but keep in mind I'm using a twin gear motor set up... have to make the center casing yourself from sheet metal but these are awesome!: www.ebay.com/itm/16MM-DC-5V-12V-Mini-Full-Metal-Gearbox-Gear-Motor-Speed-Reduction-DIY-Robot-Car/323222217245?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=512295756103&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 the 855 RPM means about 530 RPM on 2S, 790 RPM on 3S, both decent walking speeds, lots of really steady torque and no need of automatic electric braking up inclines. I did make the center box taller to hang lower, took half the "Z" out of the drive shafts, little less center clearance but I'm still using all plastic bevel gears and shafts without problems, is great! PS.. yeah it's running on the larger wider Fayee rims/tires, WD-40 softened them up pretty good. does really good for its size out climbing.
Will the WPL proportional steering kit work in this? I'm thinking about ordering it I know you have a link in the description. Great job on the unboxing and overview. I just recently got this a few days ago and just looking at upgrades for it. Thanks

My 1/12 wltoys was super easy to lock front and rear differentials and required no modifications for 1/10 wheels and tires. It's a climbing beast

I have seen a couple of these on here now. For 44 quid i suppose you cant complain. It certainly looks nice enough and seems to run ok
They're pretty good Tib, certainly have a big following now. Cheap and easy to upgrade.
Whooah. Very nice. Gotta buy this now too. It makes the wpl look silly next to it. Basically the same cost as the c14 too. How are the gears?
Gears seem ok, not sure how long they will last. And i'm not sure if the WPL metal ones are a direct replacement.
The axles are longer but you can still fit the separate WPL metal parts if you pull the plastic ones off.
The axle housings are a far better design, more robust and there is no play in the crown and pinion, mesh is probably a bit tight imo

the wheels are rubber and plastic if the water covers the body it will flood the motor out so water up to the wheels is fine
