I'm trying to track form submissions. The GA4 tag is firing in Tag Manager but isn't flowing to GA4. Your videos really helped. I'm not sure if I got it working, but I know I'm closer! I'm sure I'll be watching these again! Thank you!

GA4 is so damn frustrating...My client has multiple Thank You pages. How can generate_lead be used for that? How much of the URL needs to be in the value field? We created a new event following your very clear tutorial (and many thanks for your channel) - named it Contact-Us, event_name equals Page_view, condition page_location equals /form/contact-us. This matches what the Goal is set to in UA. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, comments, etc.

    Hi, great videos.
I've struggled to find an answer to this question - With automatic events, such as page_views, are you able to add custom parameters as you can with custom events? Or are you better off setting up custom events for things like page views where you can add any parameters you require?

Thanks for yet another great, in-depth explanation! I was looking for a way to display percentages next to the numbers in reports (for example Conversion Rate). Is it possible in GA4? If it is, do you have a video on how to do that? Thanks again :)

i dont know which is better.
    Create separate events like
    Header_clicks
    Footer_clicks
    View1_clicks
    View2_clicks
Or one big "click" and inside the clicks.. the problem with that i can't match the eventCategory with eventLabels.. i cant figure out how can i have a clickleble eventCategory to see the eventLabels

Hi Loves Data! Great video. We have a question.
Should GTM button click tracking in GA4 be enabled in the GA4 reports via custom dimensions or are they automatically sent through via parameters that enables them to being turned on as custom conversions?

What about time on page? Like, I only want an event to trigger if a user spends more than 10 seconds on a specific page.

Landing pages are not showing in real time of google analytics. I have just added the GA4 code to the website, so in the real time view of the analytics section, the user is showing but the landing page is not showing.

Hi Benjamin. Great video; thanks for sharing. Quick question. Have you done a video on how to implement email and phone click events? I'm thinking we need to avoid the "generate_lead" event as in some cases they may not be leads. I've tried to set them up using the pointers in your video, but can't get it to show in the reports, so I guess I'm missing a step but can't identify what. If you've already done a video on this, I'd love to take a look if you'd be happy to share a link (Or if you haven't, perhaps it's a topic you'd consider for a future video? It's a fairly common task/requirement in old GA, so will add value to the community transitioning to GA4). Thanks :-)

Hi Benjamin, as a slight aside, do you know how to uncheck the default 'Purchse' conversion in GA4. I dont want to track this as i have set my evens/conversions up manually.

    • @LovesData
      @LovesData  ปีที่แล้ว

You can’t. It’s the default, but if you’re not collecting purchase events it won’t have any impact.

Good video, as always. Any idea why events sent from GTM aren’t registered in GA4? I am using the same trigger as for UA, but for some reason GA4 doesn’t show it. Do I need to include a parameter or is it enough just to send the “naked” event name?
