- Star Wars has been having TONS of problems with their feature films. They announce a movie and then it gets cancleed or put on hold or ther are creative differences. Well it is happening again. The Rey movie starring Daisy Ridley is apparently the latest movie to fall. Is this the last straw or steps to getting things back on track? Until a Star Wars movie is in the theater we should all just assume it isn’t going to happen.
I’m not a big Transformers fan, but I loved Transformers One. I hope they make a sequel to it!
Kyle Chandler would be perfect as Hal Jordan. He was great on Friday Night Lights and his Green Lantern role sounds like it would be similar.
Rey will still show up in something as you shouldn't forget that, according to Jeff Sneider, Daisy Ridley has already been paid $12.5 million to return

We will see a Rey movie in the future but it was never going to happen with this director
I said from day one that Filoni needs to stick to cartoons. Everyone scoffed. Proof is in the pudding. Man has no idea how to work on live action.
The only thing I can think of that will unite all Star Wars fans is a live action Clone Wars movie with Hayden and Ewan. Yes, I know both actors have aged since the prequel series but I honestly thing audiences won’t care. The Anakin stuff in that limp Ashoka series was fantastic. Give us 2hrs and 20mins of that and you’ll get a SW movie that grosses at least 1.5 million dollars.

That Rey is definitely going to happen but I suspect the current director will eventually be replaced.
I think right now what Lucasfilm needs to focus on is just get the first movie out for Filoni and Faverou. Other than that, focus on getting the hype going for Skelton Crew which may tie into that movie, get early hype going for Andor S2 and and Visions S3 for next year and then also announced a new animated show already. That’s one of Star Wars’s biggest avenues for fans. We want to see a new series come about.
Kyle Chandler is a very good choice. I look forward to my buddy Randolph telling us that it’s a “terrible choice” and “James Gunn doesn’t know what he’s doing. 😂
I look forward to the day when everyone is happy to talk about Star Wars again. I’m sure Kristian is tired of talking about all the problems Lucasfilm has and how to fix them every time there’s Star Wars news.

Also if you really want to get some buzz … have Lucas direct the next film. I know it will never happen but that is the only thing I think would unite the fan base
It's not a Kathleen Kennedy problem. It's a Too Many Cooks problem. When you have a recent track record of big whiffs, all the second-guessing will come out of the woodwork, and all of it will have some basis in accuracy. Someone needs to just plant their flag and say "This is what we're doing", and stick it out to its success or failure. I'm still not sold on James Gunn's DC experiment. but I have a confidence that whatever his vision is, they are sticking with it to the end. It'll be given the chance to tell its story.
Kathleen Kennedy is in charge of lucasfilm. It is absolutely a Kathleen Kennedy problem.
I’ve heard Transformers One is very entertaining but personally the chosen animation style is unappealing. I would have left my home to watch if the animation looked a lot more sophisticated and dare I say “adult.”
Its not just for kids and i still like things like paw patorl and also this movie is fantastic

Hopefully upcoming Star Wars projects are good. The cancellation of The Acolyte is hopefully the beginning of better choices made by Lucasfilm (it would be nice if Kennedy announces her retirement as well). I've read articles about Luke, Han, and Leia possibly appearing again. I want them to be part of upcoming New Republic projects. It makes sense and if done right it could be awesome. Obviously it would have been great if Mark, Harrison, and Carrie shared screen time in the sequel trilogy. With the new projects, Lucasfilm should have Mark and Harrison come back utilizing deepfake or de-aging technology and utilize archival footage for Carrie. Also, bringing back Gina Carano would be another smart decision.
I don't believe Star Wars is dead. It needs help. Look at what happened with The Mandalorian S. 1 and 2. The majority of fans were upset about the sequel trilogy and the Mandolorian show brought excitement. When the content is enjoyable most fans will watch. I care about having good quality Star Wars content and want to see it thrive
The problem is Star Wars doesn’t have the same level content as marvel or DC so people need to Imrpovise and make choices that no matter what they do they will never make people happy. Just end it
Nonsense. The first 2 seasons of the mandalorian were almost universally loved. You will never get 100% approval, but it's very, very easy to beat the 15% fan approval of dogshit like the Acolyte.

I agree but that is one show out of 5 movies and countless shows. Andor was great too. Also agree you will never make everyone happy. Bring back Lucas!
The problem is the current Lucasfilm doesn't have pleasing their customers as the #1 goal. How many of the recent projects do you think started with the basic question "What do you think would make our fans go crazy (in a good way)?"
The rey movies just didn't hit, why would you double down on failure? Hire some good writers and make a movie that is aimed right at your core audience, not tiny sub-sections of your audience and you can resurrect star wars, because right now, it's as dead as a rotting corpse.
I don’t think mainstream audiences wanted a Transformers movie with no human characters.
