For those saying this is too "poppy" or that "this isnt the right direction to take for them", Ocean Grove have been like this forever, their latest album was very diverse and some songs in their are not too far from this. I wasnt too into this either but the chorus just kept getting stuck in my head so I put it on repeat for like an hour. This is one of the best songs they have so far. Remember their spotify description is that they are an experimental/progressive metal group. Let's see what other surprises they have in store for us!

Man their old stuff was so good. I've come to conclusion that this new song is phenomenal too! It's been a week and can't stop coming back to it daily and can't explain it other than it's a great song.
Definitely a change in sound from The Rhapsody Tapes, but I love it. The obvious progression is there, you can hear it when you listen to TRT compared to Black Label. Just as you can hear it from TRT to Glass Gloss, and now to this People are banging on as if it’s some sort of dramatic change, but if you’ve been with the band for a while then you should have seen this sound coming from a mile off. Hopefully there will be some heavier tracks on the record as OG pull off variations in their releases really well (like The Wrong Way straight after Intimate Alien and before Slow Soap Soak), but if it’s a whole album is full of this sound I won’t be complaining either. tl;dr - Everything they’ve put out thus far is gold, so I expect nothing less from the upcoming album
You’re totally right and I just made a similar comment on their fb..you could hear this direction from a mile off, and if it doesn’t appeal, there’s plenty of other heavier stuff to listen to. I saw them on Friday night and their stage performance has improved dramatically. Dale has an amazing presence and is so committed to dancing and getting the crowd going as much as he is singing. I know the next album will be different but I am happy that they are make steps to sound more interesting and not just c/p their previous album with one or two tweaks

Personally I would love to hear some scream stuff ( Adrian fitipaldes collab), with Dale's cleans on the back, gives so much to the songs. But I'm really proud, and also surprised that u guys have this level of originality, can't wait for what's coming next
