Maybe not the biggest thing but thank you for not editing out when you stutter or mispronounce a word. I overthink about sounding silly if I stutter especially if I'm trying to make a point. What matters is the message and not to much how eloquently we speak.

i got sucked into the spiritual junk food when i kept seeing "new age spirituality" videos all over my tiktok fyp and i started straying away from God. i grew up christian and i am still trying to know God and coming across your video motivated me to stay on my walk with God. so grateful that your video was on my recommended page. please continue to make a junk food series

I love what you said about motivational speakers, “it’s not that they don’t speak truth, it’s that they don’t speak truth that has any lasting value”, this is an answer and brings more clarity to something I’ve been wondering about for awhile, if it’s okay to spend time watching motivational speeches. It’s good, but it doesn’t fill me up and satisfy me like God’s word does and it doesn’t help me grow spiritually. It fills my head with knowledge but doesn’t grow me in my faith.

To me, those churches turn that way when they’re looking for more members. I saw a documentary on churches starting to have stores on site for monetary reasons. They say as people are leaving the faith they need to do what it takes to stay financially afloat. Seems like a lot of evangelicals and the Woke churches are starting to worship Mammon (money) over God and Christ.

Am I that rooted in Christ with God as the centre that I would die the most painful, long death because I love him? This is so good! It reminds me of a sermon that I think Paul Washer did, explaining how we are not David. Essentially he was speaking against the tendency for us as Christians to substitute the biblical character with ourselves, making ourselves the “heroes” of the Bible instead of Jesus.

This is so we'll put and eye opening in so many ways 👏 something that came to my mind when you were talking about Jesus' obedience going as far as to die on the Roman cross...it made me question my heart - would I be so obedient to go as far as Jesus did? Am I that rooted in Christ with God as the centre that I would die the most painful, long death because I love him? Or do I love myself more and would sadly try and save myself in the moment - not lasting in the long term. I feel heavily moved and convicted. God's working through you, Alex...thank you.

This is so good! It reminds me of a sermon that I think Paul Washer did, explaining how we are not David. Essentially he was speaking against the tendency for us as Christians to substitute the biblical character with ourselves, making ourselves the “heroes” of the Bible instead of Jesus.
