Heyy wsp, if u think u can change your mentality , and your sexuality by your own, u got it wrong haha. I struggled w masturbation , and I tried to stop....didn’t work. But when the Holy Spirit came in me , it changed me. I don’t even have envy to do it , cuz i have the Holy Spirit in me. U need the Holy Spirit , so that, u can be renewed. Look. The only way for u to have the Holy Spirit is to repent , recognize that u’re a sinner. Then, to build your relationship w him, u absolutely need to read the words of God. This is really important, because for me , I tried to stop my sin (masturbation) by trying to « pray more » or « try hard » and it didn’t work. It’s never gonna work cuz the devil is stronger than u. But, when I started to read the words of God, EVERYDAY, God started to change me. I started seeing things differently, I started to flee masturbation, I started to flee pornographie. Because , by reading the words of God, u are feeding your soul with his commandements. Your soul is like a body, when u feed it with the right thing , there is no space for sin anymore. And if u do it constantly , your soul will be fully filled with the words of God, with the Holy Spirit. And u will be renewed ✝️❤️

Sh xx let people believe what they want. No one knows which God if any is real. Maybe they all are. Maybe none of them are. Maybe they are real to the individual who believes in them. You have no proof to say Islam is wrong, so stop being so condescending.
No loving God would punish people for all eternity just because they believed in another God - this Muslim has probably felt Gods presence, they probably have miracle stories. Allah has probably saved their life or talked to them when they prayed. Im saying this as an atheist - all religions claim to have miracles and a connection to God in which they can strongly feel so you have no reason to tell this person Islam is wrong and Christianity is correct. Stop trying to convert people because no loving God would punish Muslims who are a good, loving people.

We don’t want anything to do with him or say I don’t need anyone I can do it all by myself. But when we invite Christ into our lives we are a changed person. Just remember though that everyone is different on how they change their lifestyle. Let God speak to you and you will know when he does. Luke 15:7
I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
      John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
      Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
      1 John 4:16
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
If you're being tested, it means He cares. If you're repentant, it means you care. God bless you in your journey.

I have realized that if God has already said a union between man and woman is what constitutes marriage any thing out of that is not marriage. The one illustration I use, is if a chef tells u to put rice and water in a pot to make edible rice, if you put water and water or rice and rice, neither of this combinations would result in edible rice. It has to be rice and water for it to constitute edible rice and thus any union not made of man and woman cannot constitute Marriage.

@@WithoutFear804 God doesn't hate anyone, He loves everyone even while we're sinning, but that doesn't mean we can still sin. I feel like when people hear the unconditional love and all-loving part, they forget about the father and judge part. See, yes God loves us all, and that's why He made the law. in simple terms, hell is a place for anyone who sins(God made hell for Satan and his demons because they went against God) no human was supposed to go to hell, then Eve ate the apple, thus sin was born. God gave us free will which is why eve had the choice to eat the apple in the first place, if God had stopped her, He would have taken away that free will. Anyway, as a father, God made rules to keep us in line and discipline us and get us into heaven. we chose whether to follow those rules or not. The commandments are there to protect us, just like laws on earth. (plus, they really aren't hard to follow and don't restrict you at all. ik a lot of people think being a Christian is boring and you can't have fun, but it simply isn't true) As a judge, God has to be impartial whether He loves us or not. think of it like this: A man robs a bank and gets caught red-handed, he goes to court and his father is the judge. even though the father doesn't want his son to go to jail, he must sentence him because the son still committed a crime. impartiality. also, why is it sad? this man literally just said he's happier. anyway, I hope this made sense and I hope you have a blessed day/night, God bless❤️

Really appreciate y'all diving into this and the great care and love you approached this with, even being so vulnerable as asking for prayer while you worked in it. Y'all are awesome. Years ago, when I was in highschool, there was a moment where I was saying some unloving things about people who live homosexual lifestyles and my mom hit me with Proverbs 6:16-19 and pointed out to me that homosexuality is not on that list and really opened my eyes to the ache in God's heart for His children to be free and walk in the Truth and glory of their identities as sons and daughters in Him. You also mentioned that you can only be one with God, but Matthew 19:5&6 says that (in the act of sex and in the covenant of marriage) man and woman become one and through that relationship, in Jesus, you become one with God together. Marriage and family are God's kingdom design that He purposed to bless the whole earth through, with Him being right in the midst of it (Ephesians 5:32). In the context of the Hebrew culture, the Bible is saturated with wedding language for how Jesus loves and longs for His people/bride. Just like y'all said, this is a super complicated topic, because of its deeply rooted identity elements, but I appreciate y'all being a voice of truth IN love amidst so many other voices that are not. It is the Kindness of God that leads us to repentance. An in depth video on sin and how Good responds to it, according to His righteousness and the posture our hearts (obedience/repentance/humility etc..) might be a great follow up to this

    Thank you Alex,
This was definitely the best Christian discussion surrounding this topic I've ever seen. I just now re-entered my relationship with god and the biggest thing I've been struggling is the fact that I would probably (more like "actually") have to be celibate if I were to repent from homosexuality. Through God and through 4+ years I tried to look to god for strength and guidance but even under God's grasp I still felt like the only way was to be celibate (as entering a heterosexual relationship would not be fair to the woman because I have been attracted (emotionally and physically) to 0 women in my lifetime). So...even as I continue to try and walk alongside the love and mercy of God, all I want to do is repent, but it IS unfair that heterosexual people are able to have a fulfilling family and foster love to children and teach in the church (in reference to Jude), but being a Christian with absolutely no hope in finding a woman that I can love and marry in the fullest way possible just tears my heart apart. I'd love a response but I understand that I know the facts: the answer lies in faith. It's more of a question of fatherhood and marriage, and why God would not want that for me?

2 Peter 3:8 “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
For me personally, scripture says time is whatever God makes of it. He can look at one of our days like 1,000 years or 1,000 of our years as a day for Him.
The Creation account in Genesis has always boggled people, “6 days to create EVERYTHING? HOW?!?” but when we get further into the Bible, we see time is different for God. He created everything in 6 days, but those 6 days could’ve been millions of years.
Sorry if I come across as rambling.

The hardest thing to follow as a Christian is to not judge others for their sin. And for Christians it’s hard to accept some people based on the commandments of God. And the best thing to remember is that God has the ultimate judgement, not you. You can’t decide who goes to hell or heaven, that’s Gods control. Love your neighbor no matter what they believe.
