1) your videos always get me motivated to keep working on my cosplays! I really aspire to be on your level :) sooo talented! 2) that sewing machine in the pic where you're doing the piping with the mesh fabric for the sleeve - that's the same machine my grandma had and that I recently inherited (a Singer 301a!) 🥺🥺🥺 it's as old as my mom (68!) And still runs like a dream ❤ then again my dad didn't know my grandma to be a seamstress so we're not sure why she had it but she had a ton of sewing supplies!
OMG! Love this SO much! Amazing craftsmanship/attention too detail. Starting to make my own of this (more like the concept drawings) which doesn't show a lot of the fabric details that were in the final dress/robe...which makes this iconic Star Wars costume seem more doable lol. This breakdown though definitely helps. Got your rosette templet and printed 3 different sizes. Trying to challenge myself doing this on a budget approximately so far have spent: $300 hunting and gathering. Starting to construct this weekend.
I love this kind of videos. Im really newbie and i have sometimes hard time to see parts of costume and it helps! Also thank u, u make me more motivated!
Hey manda! Been watching you for a while just for fun. I think you have a great personality and even though I don't cosplay I stay here for the nerdy stuff. I don't sew but I saw a pretty good offer regarding a singer machine and Ive got to admit, I'm thinking about getting it(but I can't seem to fing anyone who can give me good advice) Anyways you were asking for vid suggestions on your TH-cam tab and that got me thinking, if you have any sort of tips for people who recently got into sewing or mistakes people should avoid, I would totally watch that! . You seem to have loads of experience and it would be a huge help for me and everyone else watching! (Don't worry if you don't have time though your creations are definitely worth the wait < 3)
I do have a few video on here my "sewing sunday" series where I chat about that stuff. I would check out Casey Renee Cosplay's videos, she has many on beginner sewing tips! Hope that helps!
the secret to the headpiece (this is one-to-one based on a mongolian noble ladies costume) is that the ''horns'' are flat usually. they are made out of silver and are much lighter that way. also please treat it respectfully when you cosplay amidala, because it is basically a national costume of a existing culture.
You've MADE THIS? Amazing... What a talent.
So Awesome!
Thanks!

I love the breakdowns. Instead of doing the circles in embroidery as i dont have one can i convert the pattern to an svg and cut htv on my cricut?
Sure, go for it!
Can't believe you cut the 'caught red handed' joke someone in the background made!
