this dress turned out so amazing! thank you for sharing all your hard work with us! you should be so proud of yourself for this spectacular costume you've made!
i would pay so much for a dress like this for me cause i'm the least crafty person ever but ever since the first time i saw the movie i've always wanted a dress like Padme's
Very well recorded video and very nice work with your costume :) Aaahh... the part when you were flying Geneva... it give us a lot of good memories :) Nice music choice!
This is so amazing! I've always loved this dress and your recreation was incredible. I can't believe all the detail you put into it! You looked absolutely gorgeous in it!
This is the most amazing Padme cosplay/made dress i have ever seen! Seriously.. Im doing this dress hopefully in December and was wondering where you got your wig and how you managed to find such authentic looking fabric?
This is an amazing video. I am so inspired by your work; I've never worked on such a complicated dress until now. Thank you SO much for sharing this with the world. The thought would have never occurred to me to embroider all that work for Padme's dress; I feel so much more confident because of your video.
It's just amazing watching you work with such patience and enthusiasm, and it obviously shows as you create masterpieces. You are one of favourite cosplayers, and I am in awe every time I see you!
Holy shit Ida, this is absolutely amazing! I'm really feeling the love, time and dedication that went into this project and the end result was astonishing! Seriously you talented girl and I look forward to future projects
Man that must have taken a long time to make. It's always great to all the hard work and passion you put into your cosplay. That just makes the outfit even more awesome.
This is truly incredible! You notice that you work very hard to make this dress, because the final result was beautiful!!!! Congratulations, you have a tremendous talent and pride us Star Wars fans. Thank you for sharing your work with us, maybe it was difficult but everything was absolutely worth it. George Lucas and Natalie Portman should watch this video, they would surely applaud you standing. Congras again!
Wow! You took great pains to creat Padmés dress. It impressed me that you did all this by hand. And you look really pretty! :) You remember me a little bit of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss. :D
Ida you're such an inspiration and this costume is amazing. For me you won the first place :') This is really a piece of art! I really hope Germany invites you some day ;w;!
Beautiful work! I made this cosplay way back when only had a few pictures to go by and it was incredibly detailed but fun to wear. Anyway you did an excellent job!!
hi! im planning on doing padme as a final project in my specialist class, and i was wondering what fabric you used for the 'cape bit'? was it already embroidered? any links to any of the fabrics you used would be really helpfull. thank you!!
Well done, excellent work, i'm surpised though it fit you well since you were fitting it to the dummy. Dummy's are ok to adjust to some sizes of the body, but as we all felxible all over and have curves in dfferent places, having something fit a mannequin doens't meanit will fit you well, but I guess i'm lucky as my mum does all my fittings to my own body shape. But it seems to have worked pretty well in the fit of the bodice. Your hair buns a beautiful :)
Thank you! Don't worry, I made sure that the mannequin fit my measurements as well as possible. It's even fitted to my extra long torso haha. I can't read patterns and I have no one to help me, so draping is my main method to create all my costumes!
Wow you know I have been taught by my mum over 10 years, I do mainly tutorial costume videos and it all started with Padme's costumes. I learnt pattern reading from her but I cannot drape and neither can mum, what she can do is, take my mock up form a pattern, pin the mock to me inside out with me wearng a t-shirt, and take the seams in if needed and re-draw seam lines is they are not quite in the right place. We do hve a taylors dummy with size adjusters, but it will never a totally accurate fit as our bodys have flash that moves, but dummy's are solid. Your embroidery is beautiful, mum did mine becuase I hadn't a clue how to embroider. She also croched my hair buns, though they have stretched over time. Again well done it's an incredibly difficult costume to make, a lot of handwork and you were so lucky you find the mesh fabirc for the cape with the roses on, I found my roses on some taffetta by chance in a fabric shop and cut them out of the fabric and hand applied them to my cape. brilliant work.
Hi there!!! I’ve admired your work for years, and since I’m about to take on this dress, i was wondering if you could tell me what you were blotting onto the capelet fabric in the first show? I’ve been trying to tea dye mine, but the synthetic fibers aren’t picking it up :/ thanks!!!
Katherine Gallo I used out watered out fabric paint, and some acrylic I think?? It's been a while haha. I too tried dyeing it with no success, so this was the only thing that worked for me!
Tick-Tack girl I of course tried that first, but the netting did not take the dye. So using fabric paint with a sponge was the only thing that worked, way more hours than showed here was put into this thing, including all the trial and error!
Believe me, l know. l have been working on a few projects myself and no one really understand how much work is put into it unless they have done it. lm a seamstress in training and lm working on a few costumes myself. which is taking a while.
this dress turned out so amazing! thank you for sharing all your hard work with us! you should be so proud of yourself for this spectacular costume you've made!
You mean you embroidered all of that by hand?! That's amazing! I admire your dedication.
