Well I am done with my going ons about these rc's and the short comings you can find with them when made to sound good but no thoughts as to how it will perform.
So don't care what anyone else thinks if you like it cool, if not, jump on a boat and head for our island.

On the top of the plug you will see metal where the pin is exposed for each wire. Push them down while you pull on the wire and you can remove the plug.

I've got tons of RCs from American brands (which use Chinese parts like Traxxas) And I've got tons from Chinese brands. Some of them are great with tons of parts available. Just choose wisely. That is if you don't want to pay the hobby shop markup for them and don't mind waiting for delivery. I don't.
Unfortunately some of us don't have a hobbyshop 😢
I got the MJX 1/16 16208 brushless for $145 AUD ~ 100 USD from eBay.
Bought some better batteries and use it to walk the dog, it flies, but if I am seeing correctly that you paid $250 USD?
That's insane and way over priced. Oh my bad I see this is the 1/10 version, I have the 1/16 version, but it is insanely tough/durable.
$250 USD is $369 AUD, I paid $460AUD for my Team Corally Dementor and this runs rings around the X08.
I research a ton before I buy, people like yourself help with the crusade as it shows pitfalls before falling into a possible money pit so thx for doing that for us.
The wires pull out of the black servo plug very easily, just take the 3 wires out of the black connector, slide the heat shrink over the whole length of wire, then put the pins back in the black connector.... 😊
I buy Red Cat Racing only. There is never any problems with them right out of the box.
The little Hosim HB17 my 9 year old bashes is still going strong for almost a year with minimal repairs on 3s even...But you can tell just holding it that its built different than the typical junk...It has even been run over by a truck and was cheap to fix lol...Mostly stock besides aluminum front/rear arms and hubs...Oh plus the HyperGo 1/16th metal spur/input gear...The stock gear gets chewed up on 3s fast...Been trying to hit 50mph with it but 48 seems like max with stock motor/esc...Might try bigger tires

Thanks for this. All I did was swap that screw with the sharp round edge with one that doesn’t have a sharp edge from the rear bumper. Done. Thanks for the headsup

After fixing the wire, why don't you flip the servo around so the wires are on the backside?

Not bad for the 1st run...most of the videos I've seen seen (which is only 2or3) have been 75 -80ish which still not bad out of box... but 103 oh yeah baby...
hi I got that truck and I saw that servo wire issue and fixed it with a small piece of foam put it on the end that pushes on the servo wires and so far not even a mark on the wire, but I have a issue at high speeds the truck pulls to the left or the right now is there a way to fix that I heard the adjustable pull rods are for that is this true I would like to test the truck with jumps i only got it 2 days ago...

I just purchased the hosim xo8 and i think they got rid of the drag brake it doesn't seem to happen to me. They also have made some changes from looking at your rc. They changed the way that lower control arm mounts it now mounts like the top control arm. So far ive broke an upper control arm, it split at the seam where the pin goes through. Fixed it with a zip tie for now lol. Broke both front dogbones at the cup where it mounts to the wheel, well didn't break them more like the pins that connect them to the cups are are held in with little springs that just dont retain the pin for shiz. So i fixed these with little pieces of metal from a coat hanger and welded them to the cup. Holding strong now but this is horseshit and this thing is a weak old and has me pulling out a welder lmao

The Hosim xo7 I have, survived a 4 year old for 7 outings before he broke it. For a similar price point, the Laegendary Thunder brushless is a better, stronger toy.

Laegendary parts are non existent I have the brushed sonic sitting in the corner of my garage totally useless because after holding on the phone for an hour I finally got through to someone and although he was extremely helpful and offered to send me a replacement rc with upgraded part for free, I declined because the upgraded parts were ranging from a 30 day wait to over a 60 day wait and he said once it's at the 60 day mark it could actually be longer basically if the computer says it's a 30 day wait then they have the parts anything more and they don't even know when they'll get the parts in. Horrible experience and I also declined the replacement because it'll just break again and I will be back at square one. Ps the sonic has all plastic drive train and the dog bones both broke, made new ones out of coat hanger material and it worked for a few runs then the cups on the dif blew apart. Never jumped it just ran it on grass and pavement

It does not as I just did a recent video showing the actual usage of the exo7 as a test to see if it was going to be plausible and it's not The ESC cannot handle 3S which was my goal and one of the CVD axles broke as I had previously thought both the exo7 and the XO8 pieces of garbage

You got to buy into the right brand and then you'll be happy. Try the new MJX hyper go the 14209 and the 14210. You'll change your mind about these Chinese crap cars. No matter what brand you get it's going to break. I'd rather break something on my little car then the break something on my $1,000 Traxxas or X-Maxx. You can buy three of these Chinese cars for the price of a Traxxas or X-Max battery so what's that tell you. To me I'm wasting my money on Traxxas or X-Maxx and some other brands name brands I won't mention. When you break something as long as it's not the chassis it's really not a big deal The parts are cheap. Whatever your break just upgrade it as you go. As well as you would have done with the name brand cars. And then for instance a battery goes bad from your X-Max you're spending a lot of money. I could buy three or four MJX hyper goes and have all the parts in the world for a little bit of nothing I could have a whole car for parts.

You can but you'll also be swapping in a radio as well that's bound to the combo unit unless you went separate
