You got any advice for skinny, and slow hoopers like me? Im 6'0 with a 6'3 wingspan and I havent got this measured yet but somewhere around 30 inches of vertical jump. Im a decent shooter, but ive hit a brick wall in creating shots for myself. I easily get bumped and lose or have to give up the ball, this made me lose confidence in driving so I take lower percentage shots. Everytime I try to bump someone I end up getting bullied and blocked because they dont budge a bit from my lanky body. The worst part about my build is defense, almost everyone is a mismatch. I end up getting exhausted quickly to keep up with my man. I get bumped once and i can give up on defending my man. Ive gotten used to taking charges and blocks being best options, but both arent the easiest to pull off, my wingspan definitely helps with blocking though. I work out and am getting in 60+ grams of protein a day but im seeing little progress, I know that with time I will be more athletic, but I need to learn solutions now before the season starts, to make up for my weaknesses. I just wanna know if you have had any experience with a player similar to myself, and what i can do to improve my game.
Check out this video: th-cam.com/video/oXPLAR63y7Q/w-d-xo.html Also I’d say you should probably be aiming for closer to at least 100 grams of protein a day. Eat enough and go through the lifting/explosiveness video above and you’ll get stronger and more athletic. You have to build the foundation.
Yo can u do a vid on how to score on zone d next? Luv the vids btw
Thanks for making this video coach! I am trying to get point guard on my school team, so this is super helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Will be adding this to my workout. Things like this will help me a lot
