This is an inspiration. I saw this video over a year ago while working on my Masters for Instructional design. I just landed a job this year as a training and Development specialist making well over 60K a year. I will be graduating May 2020. I encourage everyone who is interested in this career to go for it. The job market has an abundance of positions out there. I became discouraged for a while because I was nervous about not finding a job without having experience. Internships are great and networking is a necessity while in grad school. You can do it!

Congratulations, this is awesome! Do you think it matters where you get your degree? For example: Would employees rather a brand name college compared to a public university? Does it matter?

@@millennialscholar9588 I honestly dont think it matters. As long as you have a degree in Instructional design or something similar (Curriculum Instruction, Adult Learning theory, etc) you should be able to get a pretty good job. Interns are great to gain experience.

Hi which school did you do your Masters in Instructional design with?

@@shaunawatson-thompson5525Hello! I went to a University in Arkansas. They have a good program. You can choose any program in any state but make sure the program has a focus in developing curriculum. Now some job experiences ( it varies from teaching, military, training specialist, etc) will get you a position in Instructional Design. Just gotta do your research:-)

90.000 dollars per year! OMG! That really boosted my confidence and encouraged me!

I'm doing my Master's in Instructional Design and I can say the entry level for Instructional Designers for corporate is probably $60-70k in the Midwest. Yes, pay is well, but I chose to work in a manufacturing setting and it's so fun working with both the white collar and blue collar workers to develop virtual e-learnings and in-person training content. :)

I've just completed my masters degree in learning design. However, I'm trying to determine where to start. How to develop my skills so that I have the option of working in the corporate or education sector.
    Any tips???

Just don’t ask her for help. After asking her she told me that she did not have time to help everyone that asked her for help. She was really mean about it! I was kind of bummed! Because I was very nice and polite when I Astor.
