- More is being learned about the lives of the 13 brothers and sisters allegedly held captive by their own parents. David and Louise Turpin bought their California home in 2013 for $350,000. Back then, it was a stylish model home for the development with four bedrooms and three baths. Cops say it became a grim and squalid prison for the children. Louise Turpin's sister, Elizabeth Flores, told 'Good Morning America' she was creeped out by her brother-in-law. #InsideEdition
So their aunts and uncles just didn't think anything of it not seeing them for so many years??

do you have siblings? if you do, imagine you learned they did something like this. if not, imagine it was your parent. you might logically know what they did, but a bond like that, that you get from living with someone all your life, it can’t be broken just like that. we, from an outside perspective, know she is a monster. but to her, that’s her *sister*. the girl she had tea parties with, who protected her from the big kids. who pulled her hair and stole her tiara, but she had to forgive, since she’s family. now she’s done one of the most horrible things a person can do, but she can never stop being her sister. that’s not how it works.

Angela Barff it wasn’t welfare! The guy had a job and the son even went to college (his mother escorted him). It was home schooling that created this all the way from Virginia, to Texas and then California. And in a majority of states it’s not checked on. California is better then most with regards of standards, but still they don’t check in on the location. I hope changes will be made.

Yeah that makes no sense. Skype has not been around that long. Somethings odd with that.
She lived with them when they only had 4 kids in West Virginia I believe and they were very strict with her as well. It wasn’t until they found out she was talking to people at work that they told her to leave. She just Noticed they were overly strict parents. So, yes she hasn’t seen them in 20 years and I’m sure Skype was brought up in the last 5 because she wanted to see the family. She obviously still kept in contact.
That’s what I said too. She’s been trying to skype with them for 20 years but she couldn’t try to make one phone call to authorities to have the sister checked out smh

My heart and prayers go out to this beautiful children and adult that they can recover and I know personally I'm an survivor and yes it's the mental scars do effect me everyday of my life and slowly healing is very long road .

The sister in this interview pretending to cry is a complete wacko. Her ex mother in law had a post up on fb yesterday saying the whole family knew that Louise was insane and the children had been suffering from abuse. The sister also had her own children taken into care for over a year on the grounds of abuse and neglect so she can f-off with her crocodile tears.

Personally I would question why I was never able to talk to my nieces and nephews. There is so many questions in this case.
If I didn't get answers on why I couldn't know the kids, I would try to stop by. Then if they denied me I'd send a wellness check. I don't understand how this went on for that many years without ever raising several serious red flags.
