Here’s one for new and seasoned collectors, take the figures off the shelf and pose and play with them! Get value out of your collection where it’s ACBA, posing, playing with them or just enjoying them for what they are, they are meant to be fun!
I keep hardly any boxes but I keep the cool ones. What I do is I take out the plastic shell, remove the figure and accessories and throw the plastic away, and only keep the box and the background. Also, good for you for growing the channel so fast. When I subscribed like 4 months ago, you only had like 700 subs and now you have 4,000, good job!

Now I'm up to collecting two of every one made, and now on to Marvel Retro 3.75 and MOTU 3.75" from Super 7. Last night I finally allowed myself to start down the Star Wars rabbit-hole. I had no idea collecting would be this fun or addicting!

Great advice friend! Only thing I might add is if something is vintage and really rare sometimes you might want to pick it up at price you can afford. Now I agree most things will come back up for grabs here and there but some simply will not. Only time and experience will guide you.👍
Great advice, more tips, keep an eye out for exclusives, HBPulse, Target, Walgreens, Amazon, etc. and for package collector's (and or people who might buy two of favorite figures, one to open one to display) check out options like FigureShield to protect and display in packaging (Retro carded figs seem to be popular candidates).

Wearing sunscreen has been very helpful to my collecting hobby, because then I don't have skin cancer and therefore am still able to get figures. Fr tho, while a decent amount of the Hellfire Club 4 pack isn't super important, I feel like that White Queen is a must have, so I became an idiot and bought the entire thing instead of just waiting for Emma to go on sale on her own
A good tip that works for me is I set myself a budget . For example I spend $100. Per month on action figures . That way you buy what you really need. ( I used to spend more than that, but because of COVID I had to control myself. )
That's very sensible Leandro. I'm actually using this channel to finance what I buy. It's a good way to stay motivated. I only purchase what youtube ad revenue and Patreon will afford me! :)

#7 for sure. I accidentally have bought pre-sale items when I thought they were in stock. Not that it's the worst thing in the world it just stings when other retailers get theirs in stock earlier and you're sitting on your ass waiting for yours from eBay.
i lost my gambit's figure staff and i spent an entire day trying to find it and i remembered that I threw it out accidentally lol, now my gambit is straight up making out with rogue in my display.
I always go back and fourth with if I should save boxes or not. I dont really have the space to save them especially with the volume of figures im buying lol I save some but I toss a lot. If I had the space I'd prob save more of them. I dont ever plan on selling them so maybe it doesn't matter
The first Marvel Legends I bought in a Store was a Superior Spider-Man in January believe it or not. I was SO EXITED, until I got home and realised that he has two right legs, the paint was sloppy, the right arm popped off on the bicep and, as a side effect of having two legs, I'm pretty sure I broke something around the crotch trying to crouch him. Since I couldn't get a replacement, it's sitting in the dark corner of my shelf in a very vanilla pose... ALWAYS CHECK THE FIGURE YOU BUY IRL GUYS

Do you have a community discord? One of the only ones I'd consider joining. Pretty much everyone has one of these communities, hell even people with 200 subscribers but so far I've only heard you talk about Facebook.
Not just about rereleases. Don’t pay outrageous prices (or at least more than you’re willing to pay) on the aftermarket thinking you won’t find a better deal. I’ve found an amazing deal on figures that fetch crazy prices on the aftermarket thanks to holding out and that made it all the better. I managed to snag a Toybiz series 6 Deadpool for $30 with no other bidders on it somehow back when it used to go for close to $100. Of course I’ve also been stung a few times by losing some of those auctions that I was excited to see at those low prices. There’s a few figures that I never managed to get that haven’t come down in price yet (like DCUC Dr. Fate) but who knows, maybe I pay the $100+ aftermarket price and then another company comes out with something even better and I’ll regret paying that much. Find the balance.

I literally just pre ordered the 3 pack of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire Spider-Man: No way home set for £99.99 on Hasbro Pulse. Doesn’t release till august 2023 but I get so paranoid that i wont get it next year unless I pre order now. Now from this moment I’m gonna have to make sure I have £100 in my bank till then 😅

You missed one: plan for retirement. If you start collecting in your thirties and enjoy the hobby, keep in mind that you're hoping to be wanting to do it for four decades or more. If you're collecting with a fixed goal, accomplishing that goal is going to lead to a whole lot of emptiness when you reach it. Most collectors run out of space after just a few years. Which means something's got to go at some point. So keep that in mind when buying - much of the stuff you're hoarding is not going to stick around in your collection forever.
I don't think I've ever rebought a figure I've sold. Hmmm.... ... Star Wars Black Series with photo-real faces don't count as rebuying the same figure.

Honestly. don't think all that many people care too much about boxes. When I buy old figures it's not the boxes that I'm interested in.
