  • Suleiman Reads Bayezıd's Letter | Magnificent Century "REPENT BAYEZID!"
Magnificent Century Episode 137: • Magnificent Century Ep...
Bayezid has a close brush with death. Death is everywhere on the Magnificent Century! Bayezid gets betrayed by Rüstem, and he girds himself with his sword and goes to fight. Bayezid fights with all his strength and corners Selim. Just as Selim comes to an end, everything turns upside down because of an arrow Selim gets shot by in the chest. Bayezid gets a fatal blow and he gets terrified when he sees the person who has shot him. Selim gets afraid that Bayezid will get his strength back and advences upon his brother with his army.
Bayezid goes to Iran with his children. Suleman gets angry when he learns his son has taken refuge of Tahmasb I.
Sparrowhawk returns to the capital to kill Rüstem and gets help from someone surprising. The deadly fight between them thrillingly comes to an end. Bayezid finds out that his father bargains for his life with Tahmasb I as he expects to be forgiven. Selim makes an insidious plan that the alarm bells start to ring for Bayezid.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Suleiman's answers were strong here. Bayezid himself is responsible for everything. He knew the law very well. But still, despite the Sultan's prohibition, he gathered an army and disobeyed his orders, he forgetting that Suleiman was not only his father but also a Sultan.

@@beanentrepreneur1 We can see that Sulieman preferred a drunken Sultan insted of braver ones. Whether it be Mustafa, Mehmed, Beyazid or Chaingir. He killed the best options himself which led to one dying and Mehmed was killed naturally. So he was the reason for the deaths of 3 of his sons.

Bayezid: i never rebelled Father and I never will
Also Bayezid: actually rebelled against his father and started a civil war also he sought refuge to a hostile land while nearly killing his brother which is considered treason

Suleiman is very much right here. Bayezid should not act blameless. He is the one who went against the Sultan's order and attacked Selim. He should not let Selim provoke him. If Selim does anything. Bayezid should tell Suleiman, instead of attacking Selim

Bayezid did try to tell Suleyman about the things Selim did but Selim foiled all of his attempts so Suleyman never realized/believed how much Selim was attacking Bayezid.

This is the only time Bayezid is like Hurrem.. deeply submissive in their choice of words while not leaving their stand.. I love the simplicity of exchange between a father and son.. while a ruler and a rebellious prince are at war
