    I’ve queried Carly in the past. She’s great for a quick response. This was four to five years ago before I learned about comp titles. Thrilled she mentioned the use of classics because I follow one writer who landed representation by saying “my book is basically Jane Eyre in space.” This time, when I start querying again, I’m going to focus heavily on the comp titles as I’ve recently learned of their importance. Thank you for another great interview

    I don't know.....my historical romance, family drama book is like nothing I can compare to. So... how can I compare it?😅

      Have you read any of Lisa Jewell’s books? They’re very good and most of them involve strange families. She has an extensive backlist, but puts out a new one just about every year. I read And Then She was Gone and after that I had to read the entire backlist plus everything new she writes.
