I own both types. compacts struggle to cut bacon. and under powered. put the blade in the freezer first. nothing will stick to it. that's a great price on the 10 in. nice job sarge.
I have the meatyourmaker 10" slicer. It is easy to clean and sharpen. I like to make my deli meats on my smokers. I get the boneless turkey breast, boneless ham eye of round and turn those into deli meat viva smoking them. Then I slice them with the slice and put them in 1lb bags and vac seal them and only have to make my own deli meat 4 times a year.
Youre AWESOME! This is exactly what Id do also. I also buy dried chicken slices for my dogs. These are HELLA expensive. Its like 1-2 chicken breasts for $27. So making this ourselves will be a godsend.
I had both of these. But they all metal one is so much better however better have room for the big one.i can tell you it’s much nicer cleaning the little one than the big one
You should inform your viewers that VEVOR ( Chinese company ) does not not support their product after warranty, if for any reason such as normal ware and tear or in need to change a blade or one of your sharpening stone or any thing else, you will not be able to purchase them, you will have to purchase a brand new slicer... Think about it prior to purchase...
@@jeffreylonigro4081look into Beswood (better fit and finish), or KWS (more parts available) Although the factories are in China, these companies maintain US warehouses for slicers and parts.
I've seen your comment a few times, obviously copy pasted on different videos... but how do you not know it's wear and tear not "ware and tear".... please learn wear vs ware.
Yes my personal experience with Vevor is that they will not offer any parts or repairs even if item arrived damaged or unacceptable quality. They simply offer you a discount and apologies.
I do a lot of bacon and that’s the one thing I’m looking for something that I can get a full stroke on a slice of bacon. So is the second one not the 7 inch big enough to do a full slice of bacon?
Definitely some nice features on both of these models. The compactness of the small one is tempting, but the commercial version would be better for heavier use. Vevor offers something for everyone😊
If you apply food grade silicone spray to the cutting wheel face your meat will not stick to it and roll up while you are slicing it. Give it a shot and you will love it. Plus it eliminates the drag on the blade stealing power that can now go towards actually cutting your meat, cheese, whatever. Just a suggestion
Thanks for all the great videos! Someone did a weber kettle restoration video and showed how to bend the scrapers back in place using some shims. Was that you by chance?
I think i got screwed on the Vevor 180 watts Its about like my useless bread slicer. That the only thing its good for. Well know Monday for sure. I might just return it
Be aware that if you have anything from Vevor that needs service or parts you are out of luck! They will not send you any parts! Your only hope is that it is under warrantee then they May replace it! I have purchased a Chamber vacuum sealer and it came without any Oil for the pump! They would not send the oil and would not credit me for having to buy the oil that should have been in the box!
Interesting. Their videos say they give enough for a single fill of oil, but with mine Ithey gave enough for at least two full loads. After thinking about it, maybe I got yours. LOL. I love my sealer. but you make a good point. Reading the questions on the product, they will not send replacement blades even if you want to by one. There is that.
Vevor has no support what so ever. I bought the 12" 240w. The instructions say to sharpen the blade daily to avoid rust. I did just that. After a year, the blade d 6:39 ulled and will not sharpen any longer. They do not have a blade replacement. It now makes my slicer useless. Do not buy it. Make sure you research a slicer where you can buy a replacement blade. This guy is not looking at the long term use. The vevor slicer is junk. Cheap in price, yes..but junk in the long term use. Heck...how about one year use. Find another slicer. This guy was obviously paid to lie to you
Hey David, sorry to hear about this. To clear things up, I do not get paid for these videos. I still use my slicer to this day. I found a website that sells replacement blades for the Vevor unit. www.webstaurantstore.com/avantco-sl312bld-12-stainless-steel-slicer-blade/177SL312BLD.html
This video did not compare anything. you didn't compare anything to anything except the noice level i think you need to quit TH-cam if you are not going to properly compare item to item

Freezing the blade will only last so long, yes? You make a great point on the under powered motor for the portable unit.
i freeze my blade last a while because there thick metal@@ghanus2009

Not really a comparison video as you didn't show how the actual compact one works vs the commercial. I was waiting for that...smh

How about a video on cleaning it?
and sharpening it.
Carefully. Take your time learning the machine you're cleaning and go slow. Cleaning is the most dangerous part of using these.

So I just measured and you have just shy of 7.5" to work with on the Vevor 10" meat slicer.
Great test Sarge! Do you think you could get a full slab of bacon on the 10” or would you need a bigger one for that?
So I just measured and you have just shy of 7.5" to work with on the Vevor 10" meat slicer. Don't know what there 12" will do.
@@GrillSergeant thanks! I will check out their 12”. Slicing bacon with a machine would be a game changer for me!
@@BehindTheFoodTV You need to invite us all over to test out your progress. I mean, if you're a serious bacon dude.
@@ghanus2009 lol come on over! Plenty of bacon here - but I haven’t purchased a slicer yet so you will have to settle for hand cut!
What setting for quarter inch smoking jerky?
Is a serrated blade available on the 10inch?

Hey great video, made me hungry with your turkey slices, my question is can I plug the big one up to the kitchen 120 ?
Input voltage is 110 - 120 VAC 60 Hz. It plugs into a normal 15A outlet.
Love that black fence🤟🏼
You should have done the ultimate test.. Slice processed cheese such as American or Cooper and let us see how thin you can slice it..
I like the commercial one because it’s quiet
Not much a versus video.
Thanks

Whats the timestamp at which you actually test the 7.5 inch? Waste of time.
