I mean 70 billion animals a year are killed so even if they had 0.1% of human value that would equate to 70 million humans (7x as many deaths as holocaust; I don't wish to compare them though).

I disagree, I think he probably learned alot but his ego wouldn't allow him to show it. Im sure he will think about this later, maybe the next time he goes to KFC. All it takes is a seed to be planted and the way Ed does it definitely has a positive impact on people. He even said that if there was vegan chicken that he'd buy that rather than KFC. His attitude changed completely from start to finish.

When you start a debate by saying humans aren't animals you're doomed.
A human is an intelligent animal. A cow or any other animal used for meat has no intelligent potential that is comparable to a human. To say the general animal and the modern Homosapien is on the same footing is factually wrong. Animals don't have aspirations and goals, wheres as humans do. Meat eaters definitely have cognitive dissonance when it comes to feelings with regards to animals. However, they can say "treat animals 'humanely' until the time of slaughter". The animal's non-resistant goals or aspirations are not obstructed by this. The only thing you're doing is ending their life. Which is only a problem if you have created a mental connection with the animal.

You assume I see handicap humans and healthy humans as equals. I actually don't. If the unhealthy type of person you described has their life ended, I would not object to it unless there is an emotional connection. There may be future medicine or "neural link' type of technology which my improve such a human condition. Meaning there is at least some chance of becoming healthy. Animals don't have this opportunity.

There's plenty of farming methods that can be implemented over time (rooftop farms and farm towers in cities as an example). So even if farming methods are using the runoff from animal farms, they only do so because there's an abundance of the shit, not because it's the only method. The fault here is still the industries, and by making our voices heard, more farmers who make the switch will find ways to make their methods completely vegan.

Ok to be fair a lot of deforestation is from palm oil and soy as well. And a lot of soy is used for cattle production so if we magically all went vegan (97% of people eat meat) there would still be loads of deforestation. The best way to reduce your impact is to not buy processed foods that use palm oil and start a garden

Vegan food is so much more colorful, flavorful and delicious and it's cruelty free and good for my body. I'm not interested in animal products at all, they seem disgusting to me now
