A windy wild camp I'd say. Good going mind you - a neat set up in the end. I agree keep things tidy. Loving that snow. Mark

I'm sure your new tent will help with the wind and the cold. Nice Vid!

Id say so for sure.. fully geodesic tent is what you need for higher altitude and severe winds and weather.. now i have one to test out and cannot wait. thanks for watching. Atb. Matt.

Nice to see you back bud. Looked bloody epic up there and the views of Windermere were amazing! The army gore-tex and Rab fleece seemed brilliant bits of kit for the trip too. Be safe bud and see on the next vid.

Yes..back out doing my thing.. it was brilliant up there..the camera shots just do not justify the views..when your there seeing it in real life.. i love it.
Goretex jacket is top bit of kit..simple and works well..
The rab classic is a good buy too especially at the fact i managed to score it half price. 😁
Thanks for leaving a comment.. Atb..👍

Rab classic is now one of my fav bits of kit..suprising how warm it is as an underlayer not very windproof but out of the wind its super warm. TOASTY!! 😁 thanks for the comment.. Atb.👍

Hi buddy. Great adventure that....!!! I keep toastie warm. Once I'm in the tent for the night. I bought some generic down booties off Amazon, they're good. But best purchase was Naturehike down trousers.Such good value, cost me £56.00 and yet they're goose down and real pra tical too m8. Bought em with my own money and followed there sizing instructions too.Theyre not just for sitting in the tent! They've bn stiched anatomically for taking big strides up hill.. all the best m8.!!!!

Nice..i have only ever used down jackets or sleeping bags.. never tried anything else.. ill maybe have a look online on amazon.. i had to take layers off when hiking as i generate alot of heat as i usually push myself on a fast pace only stopping for short breathers. Thanks for watching.. hope you enjoyed. Atb. Matt

Great video there pal, enjoyed watching that. nothing like laying in your warm sleeping bag with a beer listening to Mother Nature beating down on you! Whats the army jacket you were wearing? have you served in the army or just interested in the gear? looking forward to the next one, all the best. Take care 👍

Hi.. yeah was another brilliant wild camp out.. best bit was waking up in the morning to the colour of the sky...like a mad purple.. just brilliant..crisp and fresh as..
Was using a current issue british army goretex jacket.. absolutely brilliant it is.. you can pick them up new for about 40 ish quid. And theyre solid and hard wearing.. excellent bang for ya buck as they say. Its a better jacket than my mountain equipment garwahl goretex jacket that i paid nearly 200 quid for by a long shot.
I have an interest in army gear always have.. its what i started out using as a kid all the way up until now i still use certain bits of kit..
Both my older and younger brother both army.. had some good bits of kit over the time.. can get a heads up on any good kit and whats not so good..
Hopefully this lockdown and covid 19 passes sooner rather than later so i can get back out.. but mainly for everyones health..
Hope your keeping safe.. thanks for watching 👍👍👍

Great stuff. What do you think of the gortex jacket? Is it the new British army one?

    • @residentoutdoors2303
      @residentoutdoors2303  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi.. i have used that goretex jacket for a while now.. i think its still currently issued to the forces as my younger bro whos just got out of the infantry a few month back had mentioned he used the same one.. as for what i think of it.. its bombproof a no nonsense tough wearing waterproof jacket that just works.. breathability is good and definately waterproof its the reason that i own two of them. The one in the vid is one i purchased a while back in new condition for about £50.
