2:42 For those who are interested in the topic of polygonal masonry. A number of methods for obtaining the polygonal masonry are proposed. The basis of the proposed methods is the use of clay/gypsum replicas, reduced clay models of stone blocks and a 3D-pantograph, as well as a topography translator. The results are presented in the article: “Fabrication methods of the polygonal masonry of large tightly fitted stone blocks with curved surface interfaces in megalithic structures of Peru”. OnTheGoWithCarson I suspect that the precise construction indicates some other influence & likely many of the ruins across Peru many years before the Incas ... predating the great flood by thousands of years. There is no evidence that the Incas in fact built them ... still there is great fascination with the Incas & of all cultural influences across vast time in Peru

Pizarro vs the low amount of Incas is inaccurate. That’s the number told by the Spaniards to benefit their story. Historians in Peru tell it other wise. And that in a empire was also divided between two brothers that split the empire trying to see who becomes the new in a king. Peru historians stated that if Pizarro would of arrived 3 years before when the ruler and true king was still alive(their father) the Spaniards wouldn’t of won any battles or the conquest. The empire was triple the size it was when Pizarro arrived.
Thanks for this video cause it’s very knowledgeable and good tips on what to see when people visit cuzco

I am from Cusco and it's interesting to listen to the point of view and way the foreigners retell our story. Although I agree with some parts of this stories. They are told differently than us the Quechua. To be honest with you, no fancy restaurant can top the cooking of a Quechuan grandmother, and no one can tell our story better than an actual Quechua person.

You guys are on point. You give such a historical relevance to not only Cusco but most other places that you travel to. People should be willing to travel to these places to experience the history and culture they have to offer, and you guys both give such a great insight! Amazing work guys!

I just got back from Cuzco, and I must concur that the old town has the feel of an old European city somewhere in Southern Spain. The monumental architecture was stunningly evocative of Andalucía, except that, instead of Roman ruins, Cuzco has Inca ruins throughout overlayed with Spanish colonial grandeur. The whole historic center feels like one huge open air museum.

I was lucky to have traveled to Cuzco about 10 years ago on a 2 week vacation but didn’t know about many of the facts you guys talked about in this video. no wonder why you have more than a million subscribers. It is one of very few videos I enjoyed watching so much I had to reach out to say Thank you ! Great job !
