- In this review I break down the new Hunter exotic gauntlets for Beyond light: Athrys's Embrace. My goal is to arm you with knowledge and use these at peak potential. I go over PvE viability and how it sets itself apart there. I go over a technique that takes the knives to another level for PvP. These are seriously ready for any activity. Yeah, Monte Carlo is like a freaking laser. They synergize so, so well.
Nah I tried it and it was garbage. The build itself actually for me was absolutely terrible. Nothing fun about it. I went back to top tree NS and immediately had fun again.

I haven’t been able to take off Mask of Bakris since I got it which was a week after BL came out. But this... does put a smile on my face

Thank you for explaining these gloves to me. As a warlock main i just scoffed at these but now I do see the utility in them.
These got even better with solar 3.0 and an extra fact the knife it's self when thrown makes a skittering sound which other players can hear
Hey coolguy I just wanted to say thank you for actually spending time trying these out figuring out the mechanics. I won't lie I was super disappointed with these when they were first shown I have a good rolled version of this but haven't Truly touched it. Due to this review I feel like I really want to give it a chance.
As someone that enjoys PvE as much as PvP, I appreciate you covering all aspects of the game in these reviews/guides. Definitely gonna check these out. Looks fun.

NOW, I am blown away on these Gauntlets I got them a couple of weeks ago and haven't even tried them.. WHOAH!!! Thank you!!! Your Videos have been top tier.. So I never play hunter. Never ever. I hate the class. But I have always followed your super fun niche gameplay style videos. I did for the boink hammer I have for the trinity ghoul etc. I love your vids. And so I decided to try this one out as well. And I gotta say. I've never had more fun with a niche play style before. This is awesome. Thank you for the video and all the incredibly difficult work I am sure goes into these. Finding all of the bonuses and all of the loadouts to help us succeed the most. You know why I freaking love these? I was waiting for a nighthawk replacement for SO LONG! Since they buffed bottom tree gunslinger, golden gun does more damage when line em up is at 20+ seconds. Here comes Divinity; always crit dmg and it will instantly activate practice makes perfect x5 for the super regen and makes your precision kills way easier, especially with throwing knife. Now you get your super like super fast, it deals more dmg than usual (nighthawk dmg, but with more work) and it creates ORBS. FREAKING ORBS! You may want to put the artifact mod that allows you to create orbs on solar and stasis melee kills. You make orbs, you debuff ennemies with Divinity, you can deal with EVERY champions because of those gauntlets and you deal MASSIVE damage.
So yeah, this is my new favorite exotic for gunslinger. Perfect for endgame and it even works in pvp.

So glad I grinded out the lost sector last night for these - had it down to a 1min 30sec for each clear, took about 30 goes, but worth it.
If only I knew. Have seen this review when it came.out but only gave those exotic a shot 2 weeks ago. Never had so much fun in Trials. These are Fantastic.

CG, I’ve been watching your vids since D1 before your break and I just wanted to say that the quality and depth of your reviews just keep getting better. Absolutely love the intro and music, top quality editing and example footage. After grinding the lost sectors for gear these have been sitting in my vault. I’ll give them a whirl. Imagine, I have almost been maining hunter this season though I have been running new high stat Stompees and Crimson. FYI, I bet Crimson would work well with these gauntlets.

Ive been stuck on Bakris and statis since BL launch but I played during the period of unstoppable homing knives when they first came out so I am glad that bungie decided to give that back in an exotic. I have a good roll of them I havnt used yet and you just convinced me.

That knife kill in PVP against the super was great!
Monte carlo is so good with these knives. Autos already work well with the gauntlets and then the improved cooldowns just top it off.
Plus every knife kill you get a huge damage buff to Monte
I was messing around with these, but this makes things a lot more clear.
I remember when the gear trailer came out everyone was sleeping on this exotic. Can't wait for trials to *finally* come back

Love the solo capabilities these have, thanks for the in depth breakdown of damage and one-two punch rundown. I tried to get these to work for hours in PVP and couldn't. Kudos to you for the sweet gameplay but I'm a competent D2 player and this made me feel like a total scrub. I'll keep at it but damn is it demoralizing to get the perk proc'ed and then bouncing the knife off the wall or floor and...nothing...then you realize you have to wait 40 seconds to try again as everyone is trying to turn you into an icicle.
