Beautiful family. It came out so pretty. I love it. I knew you can put pictures in resin. Someone told me that I can't put pictures in resin so I never bothered. I better not listen to what they say next time because now I'm going to do it. I saved so many things for I can put it in resin. Now I have my grandkids loving to do resin because they want everything in resin.

Yes you should, I love making refrigerator magnets of my grandchildren as well.
Good job, I did these back when Fran (little windows) first introduced them, I used some self adhesive cork on the back of mine. Or you could use felt
I love the epoxy store resins! I prefer the clearcast 7000 myself but the general use seems similar. Do you cover the back of the photo so it's preserved/archival? If not, you might consider it. That would prevent any moisture or anything else from ruining your photos. Awesome idea either way. Thanks!

What do you use to clean up your containers, droppers, and cups?
How did you pour resin over the photo and the photo didn’t change at all ?! Did you seal the photos with laminating paper , or some type of glue ?
I did not seal it, you can add anything to Resin, candy, paper, photos, flowers, you probably need to seal the back but other than that, no I didn't seal it.
RoseJayCreates hmm interesting 🤔 the resin i use for my ashtrays etc , destroys the ink in the photos /paper unless i laminate them !!! So was just curious to see how yours never changed ! Thank you for a response !!!

Did you seal the pictures before you poured the resin over them or did you use a special paper for the pictures im a resin user trying new things
Those would make cool magnets or in a smaller scale you could link them together and make a bracelet just a couple of ideas
I have molds for that as well, the photo would have to be custom to size for bracelets.

it's hard to see what you are doing but great video. Do you do 1:1 ratio for the resin mix?
She said she does 1:1 but different brands are different.
Do you seal your photos before putting resin on them I heard many people say that if photos aren’t sealed resin can discolor or make photos bleed I been wanting to try some photos in bezels but don’t want these photos to get ruined in the process and I have uv resin and epoxy resin I have multiple kinds clear cast 5000 or something like that and liquid glass which is a deep pour and multiple uv resins I also have resins I got from the craft store for smaller things just not sure if uv resin would be better for photos should I seal my photos with mod podge or Elmer’s glue or something else

These are so nice for the pictures what do you use on the bottom to protect pictures
I didn't put anything on the bottom, but I would definately recommend placing a small layer of Resin, but I haven't had any issue not sealing it. thanks for watching.
Does this resin smell really strong and smell the house out,as one I use at moment hardly smells.But mine's 2 to 1,which I find tricky so won't to switch to 1 to 1 but no smell one.thank you.
The Resin I use is 1:1 ratio. I use a brand called General Use Epoxy Resin, it has low VOC, which produce little or no smell from Amazon, good luck.
It's not the smell you need to worry about. With epoxy (all epoxy) the moment toy mix the two a chemical reaction happens and the fumes is what's so dangerous. You can't see them, but they're there for as long as its curing (most is 72 hours). If you're curious about safety a FB group called Epoxy is not my friend shows you how to safely use it. Good luck! It's so dangerous if you're misinformed

No the photos are already laminate, just pour and set for 24hrs, thanks for watching.
i’ve been looking around for help and your video is the only one i’ve found...do you have too put any type of seal coat or like mod podge to keep anything from getting ruined in resin. does the candy go bad and rot ? will paper or fabric get wet or ruined ? helpppp lol 😬

You can also use a heat gun high heat low pressure.

So unfortunately Amazon is currently out of this brand which sucks because this is my preferred brand and it was inexpensive, as well. Will do some research and get back to you.

You definately can, I did not just lazy I guess. It still looks fine. I plan on reshooting this video, because of the freezing problems, thanks for watching.
If you're doing a picture in addition to colored resin, would you put a layer of clear resin on the center first?
Yes, I made the outisde mold first, then placed over picture, then poured addidtional in the middle.

I just came up with a idea do it just like you just did and then get a big round and do a paint pour are something on it and then put those Im sorry I call them lil shadow boxes put them where the numbers go and make a big beautiful family clock and if you like me with a tiny family just put different pictures of them for different numbers
I see a lot of paint pour video, been really wanting to try it, but worried about the mess since I don't really have the space, maybe I'll try it in a cup just to see, thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming.
Do you use special photo paper or do you protect the photos with something?
And if you don't protect the photos with something, does the photo stay as sharp after a few months?
I just use the photo paper, nothing else and the photo still looks good even today. I used photo paper keeps it from staining, I wanted to experientment with craft paper which only stained from the bottom, but still turned out fine, good luck.
Also I just posted another photo video, maybe this is something you can try and let me know what you think.

Actually I just went to Walgreens to development my photos and then added the Resin, that's it. The photos are already sealed. Just try it, trust me my photo trays still look the same, good luck.
I read on the epoxy reviews that must of the people had problems with harden the material can you give me an advice please!
I purchse my Resin from Amazon, I mix 1:1 ration, it doesn't matter how much part A, you use, as long as part B is equal amounts, otherwise it may set irregular, General Use Epoxy Resin -Amazon about 49.00 works great for me.
So when pouring resin over picture, how much do you pour in? Just enough to cover picture? Or all the way up to the top?
Just enough to cover the picture, you don't need to waste extra Resin.
I wonder does resin cover the back of picture?
What did you do for the back to ensure it was hard all the way around?
I did not put Resin on the back, lazy I haven't had any problems not layering the back, so goodluck.

No discoloration.
So you don't have to laminate the photos before pouring resin over them?
Nope, just pour, I've made many of those trinket trays, still going strong without sealing the bottom, extra steps I dont need.

Nope, just the photo, poured the Resin on top, and let it set for atleast 12 hrs .
