      A good F1 race is much more exciting to watch than 24hrs, but a win in 24hrs is so much more rewarding, Im not a big fan of Porsche, but seeing them taken the win, and when the camera pointed to the garage, you truly feel happy for them even its not ur favorite team.

      @mustsilm 7 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Got to feel for Kobayashi too. Best in the qualy with record, he looked in his element and good for fighting for the win or podium least. Then the problem after safety car. These cars are not as reliable anymore, with all this push for modern tech.

    • @GeriatricFan1963
      @GeriatricFan1963 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      True, but their problem happened early on and Toyota weren't denied on the final lap like they were last year. The #1 was taking it as easy as they could up front and the car still failed them.

    • @mustsilm
      @mustsilm 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thats why im saying this modern tech push is not helping.

    • @GeriatricFan1963
      @GeriatricFan1963 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Eh, I think it's more complicated than that. If they stopped pushing for modern tech, I.E. Hybrid systems they'd barely be any faster than the LMP2's. If you stand still then you get beaten. However maybe you have a point as the rules for 2018 seem ridiculously complicated.

    I just loved how that Porsche 2 hunted down that first place, like a madman.
    Specially with Timo behind the wheel, you could feel the actual tension in my living room.
    The Pro class race was nerve wrecking as well,
    The Aston followed the Corvette around the last 30 min like if the Corvette had a magnet mounted in the rear.
    Felt kinda hollow they lost because of a puncture and locked break......
    When they had been driving that well.
    It really was an exciting last few hours,
    Unfortunately, I missed it all, but I was able to see the last 3 hours anyway,
    So im thankful for that.

      Jaikar Chatha What's funny is the Aston Martin couldn't even keep up with the Ford Gt if they hadn't forced Ford to lower it's turbo boost pressure and carry more weight. They also wouldn't have won without the help of junk on the race track causing the Corvette to have a flat on the last lap.

      Jordan Martin he went into the gravel trap

    • @jpm74
      @jpm74 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Ford is really a cheater prototype car. It's not a homologated road car. Kind of goes against the entire spirit of the GT class. But since Aston and the rest of the manufacturers are better sportsmen than I would be, they gave Ford a waiver which is a huge competitive allowance.
      Ford is also a hundred billion dollar company with hundreds of thousands of employees and an R&D budget the equivalent to many countries' GNP. Aston has 1,500 employees and sells 3,000 hand built cars a year. So yeah...Ford's non-homologated cheater prototype should be faster.
      And if we just let the Fords of the racing world have their way in the GT class, it would be boring as hell...not be competitive...and become a monopoly.
      Ford knew the rules of the GT class when they started the program. If they want to compete in an unregulated class, they should race in LMP1.
      And btw, the Aston's pole time this year was faster than the Ford's pole time last year.

      Captain0711 Well, there was this situation with a driver, who looked like a track marshall. Kobayashi started but if he would not have stopped aß told by his team, there might be a crash with safety car. But the pitstop mode was disabled. He started again driving out of the pit, but without the ekectroengine. That caused the damage, because it was a situation that normally doesn't exist.

    I hope to see more teams next year... We see Audi, Porsche, Toyota, even Nissan... I really like to see the LMP1 go up and recover.
    On the other hand... I was always sad for the dismiss of the GT1, but this GTE series...

      Andy Harris C1 and C2 were equal in performance though. All the factory teams but Peugeot competed in C2, and C2 was the category that had won the previous 9 years. The simple difference between them was engines, not performance, they were equal categories.

    2:20 - That has to be the worst feeling in the world. Knowing you have 1/4 of the way in, have a long straight uphill in front of you plus another 6.7 miles and 4 long straights all 1 mile in length and you can't shift gears, just sitting there looking at the dash and the hill on the radio, saying "okay, how long do we have to go in this race?" Better yet - 4:11 - Porsche #2 says "See ya" and "I hope whatever bit you doesn't touch me, buckaroo" and "catch you in about 55 minutes" to Lotterer in Porsche #1.

    • @J0rdanMartin

      Cycgnr Last year, they blew everyone away, so they decided to force them to lower their BHP and add weight to the car and it made it easier for the Aston Martin, Porsche 911 RSR, Corvette' and so on to beat them. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Now that it's been proven that they can be beaten by handcuffing them, maybe they will allow them to have a little more horsepower and lighten the load to make it fair, but I doubt that they will do it.

    • @jaikarchatha1967
      @jaikarchatha1967 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Jordan Martin lower the cars weight by half the kilos they made ford add from the last race and leave the horse power. that would make it more competitive

    • @J0rdanMartin
      @J0rdanMartin 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Jaikar Chatha The problem is that the Ford Gt finished 2nd thanks to the Corvette getting a flat tire and allowing us to pass them on the last lap. I seriously doubt that they will make any changes to the current restrictions.

    • @mobregonjr
      @mobregonjr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cycgnr the LM GTE PRO cars are my favorite but I'm starting to feel like the series is ruined thanks to their attempt to level the playing field. The ford GT was dominating so much they decided to take away horsepower by lowering the boost and if that wasnt enough they added weight to the car. They basically tied the gt down just to give the other teams a shot. Its the reward the ford gt got for being so dominant.

    • @WarInHD
      @WarInHD 7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Well they cut it's balls off pretty much because it was kicking everyone's ass so they wanted to make it "equal" which I think is shit... I thought the race was about who can make the fastest and most reliable car and to show off the car companies, not to make all the cars have the same performance and see who's the best driver. That's why we have Nascar
