Throughout his international career as a music educator, Jos Wuytack developed an active and creative approach to music education based upon the principles of Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman, who recognized Wuytack as a leading figure in the Orff Schulwerk approach to music and dance education. Wuytack is known for adapting the French edition of Orff Schulwerk (Musica Poetica Edition Française). His system of Active Music Listening and Appreciation (Musica Activa) has been edited in English, Flemish, French, Portuguese and Spanish, and has been widely used in Western Europe and North America. Wuytack has composed a wide range of vocal and instrumental works for choir, recorders, percussion, Orff Schulwerk ensemble and orchestra.
