I use the coin tray to carry two keys. My house key I took a paracord lanyard and tied to the money clip. That way, i can pull the key without opening the coin tray, plus I don't lose my key.
That’s a really interesting hack Alejandro!! Thanks for sharing that, I’d be interested in seeing that in action, I’ll have to see if I can set it up like that.
I've got a Slide One. Mine came with the thumb slot instead of the closed front. I thought maybe they were making changes, but apparently mine is just unique.
Hey Josh. I really like your in-depth reviews of products. I am thinking of getting the Aviator because Ive mostly used card wallets..but the secrid slim wallet and mini wallet looks really appealing- seems more practical. Which one would you get, among the three? Cheers
Hey there Shrawan, thank you for the kind words. I have a couple videos comparing Secrid wallets so def go take a look, as that will give you a good idea of what to expect. But honestly, Secrid has been my go to and favorite wallet for many years. So if you like the leather look and pop up style, that's the one I'd go for. Otherwise for hard case design, out of the aviator, Groove wallet, ridge, axwell and xsto (those are all similar style) - I'd say Groove wallet first, then Aviator and Xsto are tied, followed by axwell and then Ridge. Hope that helps!
Ahhh I'm sorry to hear that ... Was it the regular aluminum model? Either way, it shouldn't just fall apart like that. The wallet I use and go back to the most is the Secrid wallet. I have used it for 5 years off and on when I'm not testing other ones, and to this day I will always say that's the best of the best out there for quality and versatility
Hey man, bit of an odd question, but do you think you could use that coin compartment in another wallet, say the groove life (using the elastic band/ cash pocket)? Kinda want to augment another slim wallet with a secret compartment.
Just checked for ya my friend. The coin compartment from the aviator does fit into the band of the groove life. Quite flush actually. Just know that you probably won’t be carrying any cash if you do that. Maybe one bill tops if you have the tray from the aviator fit in there.
Thanks Josh. I bought the Carbon Fiber one for my collection. Unfortunately, admit the price, it gets the least amount of pocket time. The Aviator wallet just does not have the IT factor at the cash register. I found it cumbersome to use and unpleasant to hold in the hand compared to some other offerings.
That’s interesting you found it unpleasant to hold, some wallets def have that affect. Though I find these wallets nice in the hand, I do however 100 percent agree that the prices on these (depending on how you fashion it) being quite much. Sadly with inflation these days I’m sure all of the EDC is gonna go up even more :/
If you find anything regarding this topic, please keep me updated. Anyone just seems to ignore that option or just calls it "more sturdy" with no information if it actually changes anything which you will notice on a day to day basis
The customer service from Aviator is truly shocking, your wallet will never arrive then customer service will ghost you and leave you $160 out of pocket. AVOID!
I myself have never ever had an issue in receiving my aviator wallets. Nothing but positive experiences on my end...email me - jdubgv@hotmail.com. Maybe I can help you out.

I’d love to see that in action as well, can’t quite imagine how you did that, but I dig the idea 👍

Can you use the slide with the coin tray removed?

I like Aviator but mine fall apart after 7 months of use. The plates never felt like they were in place moving around.

@@Joshua88Graham Neat! thanks for checking and letting me know! Overall, if you had to pick one, would it be the groove life or an aviator?

Aviator is overpriced and you find better one's for the half price of this.
