I have been doing different stretches in the morning before I get out of bed. I will try these out. At 69 years old, stretching helps a lot.

Love what you are sharing !!
I have a mattress on the floor, for reasons i will share another time.
I call it mattress yoga. I use to do yoga classes before the covid out break. The mattress does challenge my balance more, kinda of a good thing, even during a lunge pose. And , there is an advantage to the mattress, i called it a default move. This occurs if i lose my balance or over stay in a balance pose....simple, gentle, fall into the mattress. Cannot do this on a hard floor.
So, THANKS, keep it up and come to middle Tennessee, everybody else.

I bet if you added “Ankylosing Spondylitis” to the title you’d get a nice bump of views and likes. One of the hallmarks of AS is taking 15-30 minutes to get out of bed. I’ve performed your method (IN ORDER!) and gone from 30 minutes to 10 and with much, much less pain. I cannot thank you enough. Funny but the small bit about the head going the opposite direction seems to be the major piece of leverage for me.

Hi, I'm trying to recover from an old injury that i developed when I tried to move a sick person from a bed to a wheel chair. I couldn't lower myself into a chair for days. Fast forward many years, i get spasms from doing supine leg raises like an aerobic exercise. I'm trying all kinds of things but the pain seems to shift upwards so i cant stand and do dishes. Initially it seemed it was coming from the glute medius. I cant get an accurate diagnosis. Suffering from neck and knee pain and feeling so debilitated. The last exercise in this series had my hip making this loud cracking noise every rep, it was scary. I cant understand because i was pretty fit a few weeks ago climbing stairs and doing squats and pushups. Now i feel useless because I cant do anything

The problem is when i wake up, i want to go to the bathroom right away. If i go back to my bed to exercise in bed, i do not feel as good anymore as doing yoga on the floor.
I love to do on bed to feel the good feeling that every muscle, every cells in my body wake up, but i do not have that luxury. Bathroom first...
This teachetr is good. I like her.

It’s ok to go to the bathroom first:) if getting on the floor feels good for you, that’s totally ok too!

I appreciate sharing info to help people feel better. But these exercises upon waking seem misguided, especially the last one. According to Dr. Stuart McGill: "After rising from bed, the disc nucleus’ are fully hydrated and have much higher stresses during flexion. It is more risky to train repeated bending earlier in the morning. Occupational studies have shown avoiding flexion motion in the morning reduced disabling workplace backpain (eg Snook et al, 1998). Different spines mean different injury mechanisms, different resiliencies to motion, and different training approaches."

This is why the forward folding exercise is last:) it really just takes some movement to get blood flow and nutrients.
