I solved this driver by installing it. 'Linksys, a division of Cisco System--Compact wireless-G Usb adapter'

I found this adapter under my bed. Years old so I googled it and stumbled upon your video. My question is, what does it do? Why would I need It? If you have WiFi and a laptop, what benefit does this give? Genuine question, thanks!
It's for computers that don't have WiFi. Desktop PCs and older Laptops.
@@John_B_Gage oh i see! Thanks for your very quick reply! I can't imagine anyone woild use it now, dont all computers have wifi? I'll probably throw it away, shame to waste it though.
Not all PCs have wiFi. You have to buy a WiFi card or a dongle. This device is quite old.
@@John_B_Gage oh ok thanks. You said it was compatible with windows 10, yet if you have a computer with windows 10 on, it will be a new one,, so will definitely have wifi right?

Mate mine showed me the available networks, I️ put the code in and then it said coudnt connect to network and know it’s not showing me any available networks
Update: Restarted my computer and it’s just telling me No WiFi networks found
Update Again: I️ simply just typed in the network name and put the passcode and it gave it to me know I’m connected! Great vid thanks man
Mate said I️m connected to the WiFi for like 2 mins then it disconnects. I️ tried to diagnose the issue and it’s telling me an Ethernet cable might not be plugged in. Do I️ need one ?
Okay so I️ need an Ethernet cable I️ see but my routers upstairs and I’m downs stairs, the cables not gonna reach. Wtf do I️ do
No It will only work if you don't plug in a ethernet cable. Maybe disable it. Maybe try another USB port.

SOB! Device driver software was not successfully installed! (code 28). Ran it in two older compatibility modes to run cd software program, no luck. using windows 7, I hate technology.

John Gage when I download the driver onto a usb and transfer the file to the pc without wireless connection it says that I can’t download it
