Revive with Koenders Windmill Aeration Systems
Aeration is a safe, natural and sustainable way to keep your pond or lake healthy and balanced. By increasing oxygen levels, our aerators improve the circulation of your water and speed up the decomposition of organic matter, which:
    - Reduces algae blooms and deters weed growth
    - Eliminates pond odors by venting off harmful gases
    - Reduces fish kill during hot and cold weather by dissolving increased levels of oxygen in the water when the fish need it most
    - Enhances the benefits of Nature’s Pond Conditioner
    Bottom-Up Aeration Windmills
    - Eco-friendly - no electricity required, powered by the wind!
    - Best windmill on the market in low-wind regimes, capturing the most cubic feet of air per month
    - Bottom-up aeration - Effectively dissolves oxygen into all levels of water for healthier pond life, 6-8 X more effective than surface/fountain aeration. Can also circulate water along the shoreline with multiple diffusers to deter weed growth
    - No maintenance required - Reduces your power bill with no monthly costs
    - Different sizes available - Available with Single Diaphragm or Dual Diaphragm compressors, which allow for aeration of all sizes of ponds 1/4 acre and larger
    Wind Powered Aeration
Harness the power of the wind and save money on your energy bills with our windmill aeration systems.
Our windmills are made of the highest quality materials, ensuring years of worry-free aeration for your pond or dugout.
    Industry Leading Build Quality
    Bottom-Up Aeration for Your Pond
    Works in Low Wind Conditions
    Low Maintenance
    Easy to Assemble
    Eco-Friendly Pond Aeration
What type of windmill do you need?
That depends on the size and shape of your pond.
Single Diaphragm: Smaller ponds up to one acre - up to 25 feet deep.
Double Diaphragm: Irregular shaped or a pond bigger than one acre - up to 25 feet deep.
Single Diaphragm Windmill Aeration Systems come with 100 feet of Polytubing Airline and 1 Airstone Diffuser with Foot Valve.
Double Diaphragm Windmill Aeration Systems come with 200 feet of Polytubing Airline, 2 Airstone Diffusers with Foot Valves, and a 2 Way Selector Valve.
The difference between single or double diaphragm? Double Diaphragm = Double Air Volume.
If your pond or dugout is surrounded by tall trees, a taller tower may be a good idea.

A pond is definitely something that is going to happen this year at my family farm. I said that last year, but the bloody brain tumor acted up.
Now, after thirteen years, it’s finally gone. New methodology using fluorescent contrast, together with UV light made it possible to spot all the tendrils growing from the tumor. Your shout out a couple of years ago meant a lot and I just wanted to let ya know I am Tumor(oligodendroglioma)Free.

Please keep the videos coming, you're easily one of my favorite youtubers and you inspire me to try out new things and undertake bigger outdoor projects myself even though I know you sometimes make it all look way easier than it truly is.

Hi Kevin, Chris, Don and Grant,
Something that would really help the pond and the clay silt staying down, is water plants and course sand.
Once the water is warm enough to get into, you should plant aquatic plants along the banks in the crevices of the rocks. You could use sand as a filler in the crevices as a rooting media for the plants, the sand will also weigh down the clay silt as it will filter down through the sand and once below the sand, unless something stirs the sand up, the silt will stay underneath it.
As well aquatic tall grasses in the centre where you put the grain bin barricade, sink buckets full of sand with tall water grass plants planted in the sand.
The plants are huge CO2 removers as well as aid in removing nitrites and nitrates. That will help in balancing out the water quality. Plus because of the pond being spring fed the natural nutrients will remain high continually. By having the plants in the water they will naturally use the nutrients for growing and that will aid in producing even more oxygen for the fish and whatever other living creatures you put in the pond or end up there on their own such as frogs or even aquatic turtles.
Putting 1 or 2 water lily plants would be great coverage for keeping the water cool for the fish giving them shade to feel secure, and having the tall aquatic grasses and lilies will also be a visual barrier for predators such as herons.
It won't stop it entirely but will greatly curb them from using the pond as a diner for breakfast, lunch, supper, and tea at night, 😉🤪
I hope this helps you all with the pond being a success this year!
If you wanted another hand with the pond, I'm free part of this summer after I get back from the Philippines at the end of June. Just message me.
    Keep Safe and Always Inspiring,
    Matt - Toronto, Canada

Don Quixote' was a Spanish Knight who had a fetish for windmills...lol Which by the way, I've seen a big switch to windmills as either a solar backup, or in addition to solar, by several "long wintered" homesteads. Maybe it's the future for electrical needs for off grid? It should make a dandy aerator though, once the pond water is accessible. Love what you're doing ❤️

Hopefully that galvanized tank won’t be a problem for the fish. I know that the zinc can cause issues at even 1 ppm, and can be fatal to trout as low as 4 ppm. You have a large volume of water and the galvy is old, so has probably lost a good deal of the zinc already. Something to watch for if your fish are struggling though. Great videos though! I binged the whole series this morning. You definitely earned my subscription! 😂

I can appreciate the effort put into having fish in your ponds, it's very satisfying...that said I am pretty sure this one wont work as well - like your last one. You need to spend some serious time on the internet and understand what will and won't work. As one fella said below - there will be a galvanic reaction with that culvert to start, that stuff is nasty and even though the fish might survive there will be trace amounts in the water that will be found in the meat of the fish. You don't have water flow - you are trying to supplement it with dissolved oxygen via the windmill and eventually the solar pump, but you won't get the vital nutrients that a pond requires without a steady flow - even a few gallons a minute is important - and you dont have that. Your soil quality is poor and will choke out those trout. The aerator in that clay silt environment will choke out the fish, try putting it in a bucket but i don;t think it will help much. You'll need bacteria, try throwing a few dead carcasses in the pond to help. Check your PH and dissolved O2 content often, trout are the canaries of the fish world - Large mouth bass and sunfish might be better suited for that pond - but honestly I don't think youll get the result you want..but I hope you prove me wrong! Cheers and good luck.

Guys, when I was a child in the early 60s, before Wacky Tobacky was invented and diverted our attention elsewhere, the toy called Girder and Panel Construction Set was the ruler, once you graduated from Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys. I always assumed that Canadian's honed their fabricating skills by spending their childhood winters carving frozen moose turds into camp tableware. I joke.. I make fun! LOL You fellas have really got me sucked in on this project. I really hope the work pays off.

He is pretty smart and does a lot of research but maybe he hasn't found Koenders products yet. What is nice is your climate and weather is almost exactly like ours here in Maine so, your "pond journey" experiences and what you do is very much applicable here. You need a promo code. Good work.
