I just bought a 2017 NC750X Dct - Installed the factory center stand - the springs were a challenge - I saw numerous videos "how to" - yours was the best and easiest - I used 1/4 in diameter braided nylon cord and it worked. Thanks for the idea.
Excellent video. I went directly to your plan B. From the time I started til I finished, it took, less then 20 minutes. You should entitle your video: The fast and easy way to put a center stand on." Thanks a million.
Best way to install center stand springs is is spring puller.Remember-spring puller. Somebody have to sit on your bike for wight and firmly hold handle bar,you have to pull springs on springs handle. Its easy and fast.
Rather than using RATCHET STRAP/PARA CORDS ETC.....use automotive BRAKE SPRING pliers, did on mine and it was quick and easy from left side of bike. Hook front springs first then use pliers on rear ones. EASY PEASY.
The coller bolt (front of the muffler) is 17.5Nm ("13lbf•ft")There is no torque value for the mounting nut/bolt--in the exhaust pipe installation instructions, it says to tighten the exhaust pipe mounting nut, and ground wire bolt securely, then the muffler mounting nut and band bolt securely. None but the band bolt mention a torque value. Those bolts aren't mentioned in the torque value chart on pg 1-15, either. Part stores list it as an 8mm flange bolt (and nut), so "20lbf•ft" looks like the value you want.
I think you said it was a 12mm bolt. But I think you're talking about a 12mm head on a bolt that's actually, I dunno, M10. In other words, you can't judge a metric bolt by the size of the wrench you use to turn it. Maximum torque for a low-grade 10mm bolt is 15 - 22 foot-pounds (grabbed from a random chart online). It might even be an 8mm bolt, with a maximum torque of 8 - 12 foot-pounds. You can find charts of metric bolt size vs wrench size.
dicka leo I don't know if they will fit or not because the part numbers are different. The stand for the 700 is 08M70-MGS-A30. The stand for the 750 is 08M70-MGS-D30. Or at least that's what I could find. We don't have access to the 750 here in the USA, but I pulled the part number from the Honda UK site. Check out the NC forums and see if you can find your answer. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Yes, that would be an excellent tool. Tying the spring to the rear wheel and rolling the bike forward a few inches also works...if you remember to put the bike in neutral. I did not remember that vital step until afterwards. Thanks for watching and thanks for the input.

Great video, read the forums and saw the same method you started with. Glad you saved me that time ;)
