My old man had an 87 SS back in the day, I remember the damn doors would sag so much the latch post broke and we had to hold the door shut when he would hit the corners, otherwise they would swing open. It was nothing compared to this car, but your peice of art here brought back some fond memories. Incredible work bro! Keep inspiring us.

Hey cousin your paint is sweet. In the early 60s we used to lay down a mother of pearl then the candy coat. that gave the candy apple look and your work rivals them all. Well done. Thanks for sharing. God bless.

Personally I would keep it with stock sized rims!! Don't get me wrong I love big rims too, BUT with that paint job, I myself, would keep it "low and lean" and add some tweaks to the suspension to make it handle like a slot car and glue it to the ground!!!! You ARE a true master of your craft though and the paint is completely out of this world!!!!
You have truly undone yourself as if that is even possible on this car!!!!
On a side note, don't hate too much on the Cutlass cars too much!! I am a major Oldsmobile Guy, I have own a 1971, 1972, 1973 and a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass, and I have owned both a 1974 and a 1977 Oldsmobile Omega!!! Those old Rocket 350 motors from the 1970s were no joke when it came to laying rubber down on the street!!! Also a friend of mine used to own a 1984 Cutlass with a 1970 455 big block in it, that was a complete monster after some work on the rear end to handle the torque increase!!!
But enough said, you have done a fantastic job on this car, and thank you for the reveal video, you should be very proud of what you have accomplished!!

@@SprayWayCustoms Yeah the Regal and Grand Nationals were amazing cars too!! I love the old T Top cars also!! Honestly I feel that they haven't built a decent car since 1987, which was the last "good year" for the G Bodies!! And I miss the 1973 to 1978 Nova, Omega, Ventura and Apollo/ Skylarks (the X Body Skylarks)!! Most of the cars I have ever owned though were $200 or $300 or even $500 beaters!! Fun to drive, but not much to look at!! What can I say as a mechanic you spend more time wrenching on other people's cars than you do your own!! And after you pay all that money for your tools, you tend to drive cars that look like they are falling apart, but run better then the new stuff setting on the car lot!! LOL!! I have owned three older Cutlass, and two Oldsmobile Omegas. I really miss them all, but since my heart attack I can't drive anymore!

That thang immaculate! 🫡 22s is definitely the way to go for G-bodys. You can still daily a G-body on 22s. Anything over that, you’re gonna have to change the rear end gears, notch the frame, upgrade all the brakes, cut the inner fenders, etc. 22s are good enough, IMO.

@Beau , I've got 24s on my 79 Regal ,and it doesn't scrub or touch with four people in the car. I didn't have to notch my frame. I've got extended shocks and 4in cups under my springs and that's all it takes. I could have went with 26s but I would have had to cut the fender wells and I didn't want to cut the body.

@Beau, I forgot I do have rear spacers. That will keep you from having to notch your frame. But the shocks, cups,and spacers were less than $300, as far as brakes I'd already upgraded them when I put the 383 in so I don't know how factory brakes would have worked, with the 24s but when I had 22s they did fine.
