So good that it takes a little bit to get used to lol also note it gets the same zoom level if you switch to your 50 cal, great for pretending to be AA.
My biggest gripe with this tank are the optics. It's just way too much which sounds weird since being able to see the enemy better sounds good at first but it throws off your aim so hard.
Just use the riding tank technique. Set your sights to muzzle velocity and aim at the bottom of the vehicle. So the target is like riding on top your reticle. 99% of the time you’ll hit the enemy vehicle that way, within the set range.
Honestly like the M41 Walker Bulldog, the ST tank series are some of my most played tanks in the game, they are very flexible vehicles that can be use as Light tank, medium support tank and tank destroyers
ST-A1 also gets one-shot extremely easily even by solid shot. Idk if its ammo layout or crew amount but they will explode if you hit them anywhere except the engine.
I love the firepower on it. Being able to use HEAT and APCR (the heavy one) can let you pen everything you can face from the front. Usually I bring full ammo since a penetration from any APHE round is most likely going to one shot. With full ammo you can bring a ton of every type of round and you always have what you need
Hilariously the .50 cal on the ST-A1 is the main reason I kept playing it till spaded unlike the ST-A2. The 2 is somehow cursed to be shot at by CAS like they know you don't have any air defense😢
90mm APCR is pretty good. Not sure how the damage compares to buffed HEAT-FS but it combines good velocity and penetration. So I would take a couple of rounds into battle.
The paper armor does not scare a Japan main, if it has reached the ST series, the player wouldve been forged in the experience of worse tanks. If anything, the ST series brings a breath of fresh air to not be so scared of uptiers anymore - HEAT was a very big game changer.
The stock grind of the ST-A1 gave me PTSD. Like you said the mobility of an heavy, the armor of a light tank and a default rould worse than the German 88 in every way. Without Heatfs that tank would still be trash at 5.3
Do the is3 now Or the isu 122 54 lots of ammo choices like stb1 and much better mobility armor(but it's bugged now a tiger 2 can sometimes rarely go through) and 2 14.5 machine guns and a better gun with a little slower reload
First time i actually had fun playing japan was with this tank, but man the speed is just unbearable. Also the manlet is either a void or a piece of paper, ive had the breech absorb tiger 1 rounds with no damage to nayhing else
dont need the solid shot, dont need the apcr. the APHE and the HEATFS are really the only ones you need. heatfs for uptiers and to overpressure, and the aphe for general use. the heatfs beats the apcr and HE, and the aphe beats the solid shot

Pin of shame lol xD

You could have added that it has a very good zoom, which gives you an advantage in duels at a distance

On the other hand, it fucked you up at close to medium range, to the point that he prefer use 3rd view for closer opponents
@vunguyenxuanhoang7422 I agree. At this br I would prefer a fixed 3-4 times over this shit.
@@touchgrass7834 Just use Binos man, it's the same in every vehicle. That's what I do
"Nah I'd adapt"
- ST-A1
“Nah I’d die”

4:33 and still this thing somehow ate my round (SHOT FROM WAFFENTRAGER!!!)
With volumetric still being cancerous, anything can bounce off of anything at any time.

Flat E8 Sherman:
90mm APCR is pretty good. Not sure how the damage compares to buffed HEAT-FS but it combines good velocity and penetration.

It’s effectively an M36B2 pretending to be an MBT, the roof armour is ~5mm so your still going to be dying to .50 strafing runs.

ST-A3 soon?
The ST series is honestly quite good. Especially the ST-A3. 6s autoloader at 6.7 is really a relief.
0:13 this would make a great name in WT lol
Love the STAs. They are essentially a M36 but more agile and smaller. A very good tank.
Do the is3 now

Note: It has a low speed stabilizer and nice reverse speed.
Not gonna lie. I chuckled at the Tanktician pun. Good pun my friend.
got over 250 battles with the ST-A1. love it
What is your graphics setting and postFX, or some overlay filter ? My game never looks that good :(
Nvidia DLSS on quality, almost everything else on max. In post production I slightly increase brightnes+contrast of video clips.
Maybe Churchill VII? I like playing this in WT
do Conway next ,the ignored tank that no body play
Return of the King 👑
Experience players love the ST-A series. They give you a tool to become god in the match when you know what to do
"This tank adapts"

Nope 😏

american smokes are fun, I rarely use them but bring them anyways
I love the STD-1
I prefer PTSD-1
Basically a smaller m36b2
Type 61 next :D
I loved it to death in WoT, still too far from it in WT.
"Nah i'd Adapt"
Unfortunately it cant adapt to getting shot by a 105mm APCBC shell.
where is the ratinggggg????????
Type 61 is this thing but better in every way
Maybe cause ya know ST-A are the Type 61 projects before becoming Type 61.
1337 UPLOADED YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAH LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You can kill anything but you're the one who actually could be killed easily by enemy
