When shut down, the machine will retain changes to the currently active kit. Therefore, all other kits must be loaded and saved manually. Function+Kit --> Load Kit --> (Yes+Kit) to save kit (repeat x times for each kit) then save from the main menu. I'm not currently aware of a "save all kits" function.
