Thank you so much for this video in September I bought a 86 Chevy G20 conversion van and I'm going to be doing my own oil changes on it and everything else on it myself bc my old man is lazy. I didn't see where you put the oil in at but I would think there's a cap that says engine oil so I can figure it out.
I got a 1991 Chevy G20 StarCraft edition 5.7l, it’s a old Sewell van I’m in the middle of installing the new fuel tank & fuel sending unit, jus put some nice black Rally’s on it with some side tread tires! Fixing to paint it Dove Gray, it’s going to be bad@ss baby! I’m Vannin, Hot Digity Dog!!!
You Need it tighter than that these vans are bad about the oil filters coming loose & the oil leaking out! I always tighten mine more than that by hand!
I have a 95 Gladiator Chevy G20. It's identical mechanically right.. Glavel just does interior packages and I happened to buy a beauville with a Gladiator. I don't know if it's any different, I bought it used from the 2nd owner. 210,279 miles, I've probably only put a hundred on it myself. It needs an alternator and a cleaner carburetor. And it definitely needs a redone interior. A wooden floor, a table, a bed, and a new set of cupholders that sits under the radio. Oh and the dashboard is loose and just sitting in place, I need to reconnect the vents and either recharge the AC or replace a few parts potentially. It doesn't have heat or air. It's definitely needs a lot of work, I don't plan on driving it much but it's so fun to cruise around in. I'd be happy with a camper van even if it doesn't run, it would be nice to keep around and hangout in. For now though there's still a good amount of miles left in this engine.
your video is very good and explained, but I have a question because 10w30 if it comes from the factory 5w30, oh and you are certainly very pretty, greetings from houston tx.
thank, you for sharing you're video
Love these Vans

Should start it let it run a bit then shut it off and recheck it because it will fill up the filter with a quarter of oil
