Aquired my 1992 last October... Removed the back seats and bench seats as well and now contemplating the build out. The two things of concern is weight (hence; wood adds up fast) and aerodynamics for efficient gas milage. This intuitive guidance is now being validate with the recent $5+/gal. (and who knows for how long?). What is your current MPG?
really cool van! I love the feel of it and my friend wants to sell his, but the fuel consumption would crumble the little money i have i fear! Do you recommend it as a only car?
Question please.... how did you attach the plywood to the foam under it? thanks so much. Gonna put plywood on my floor (over the carpet, and wondering how to attach it. :)
I have a 92 G20 as well and I am curious how you framed out your windows. I was trying to see in the video. Is there anyway you could give me some pointers? Much appreciated
I have seen a lot of van builds... but why? Why did you tear apart a perfectly fine custom van for that? A stripped down work van would have been just as good and easier because you wouldn't have had to gutted it. It's like ripping a Corvette apart to get a bigger trunk when there are Camaros all around.
Dude you guys did an amazing job!!! My hubs just got himself almost the same van, just a 1990. Cant wait to show him everything you guys did!
Awesome make sure to show us!
That interior was is great condition, shame to waste it. But a cool build none the less
I agree... why destroy a perfect custom to make this?
Because we can.
I love "personal" van build videos . There are to many companies that have jumped on the bandwagon. Your name intrigued me and thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
We had a blast building and exploring the past year and a half!
🤟

Hi! we actually didn't "attach it" just cut the outline relatively snug and then cut and attached the cork flooring.
How did you get the middle captain chairs out
Angle grinder through the bolts holding them to the frame.. was definitely one of the trickiest parts.
Best!!!
It really was the BEST
nice

hellyea nice work👍Chevy to get out of Dodge
What did you guys do with those seats that y’all took out ?
Let my buddy have them
Any known issues with this type of van?
Mine had been in the family since the 90s. It currently only has 80k miles.
For me, nothing yet.
За всю жизнь не накопишь на такое авто
Mpg 4 😅😅😅😅 you've added so much weight to the van. 😅😅
Update: someone stole the van from my parking garage, and totaled it. 😔
No nice colors in American interior conversions. Just blandness with the desire to look like a homeless person.
