I enjoy such teachable videos im from kalahari desert in Botswana southern Africa n its very hot here I never heard about people harvesting ice from a river I like to hear more of this wao!!
Living your life is amazing living the way you do and the struggles it's like everyday life for you which we could not understand and get it right without freezing to death. I love watching the brother get the little sister ready for school making her giggle
Honestly I am a professional accountant in Canada and not rich but middle income which is great. However, my house in the winter is 15 degrees ( cold) on average ( -25 avg winter because the landlord's heating system is crap and the rent is very very expensive in certain cities in Ontario. The wind chill is the real temp although the westerners lie and promote that it is only -15 Celsius outside but it is -25 degrees. The point is that in Siberia in the village or the city, their houses at 25 degrees are very warm inside, they are 10 degrees warmer than ours!
Enjoyed it. The scenes flowed with smooth narration which was informative. The names Borya and Tanya felt like Indian nicknames....Ice harvesting was a new one for me...enjoyed it...
Stop this fake title. Never has the temperature in Yakutia reached -71 degrees C. The coldest temperature ever recorded in Yakutsk was - 64.4 degrees C. That was on February 5, 1891. In Yakutia the temperature in some regions dropped to -67 C on January 17, 2018. Just be honest with the titles of these videos. Do you honestly think no one is going to fact check this?
It’s possible his thermometer read -71. And who says the thermometer of 1891 was correct? And what difference does it make in the scheme of the universe?
@ I trust the information provided by Meteorologists not speculation. On January 17, 2018 some recordings of -67 C took place in remote areas of Yakutia. That according to Meteorologists was the coldest temperature ever in all of Yakutia . Again that is professional Meteorologists not someone’s speculation. I have seen videos from other channels using -81C in the title. Yakutsk is obviously the coldest city in the world. Yakutia is a very cold place that has a significant population. This is a fascinating place. However professional Meteorology should be trusted in this case. In fact the coldest temperature ever recorded in Siberia was -71 C. True facts matter. Maybe Maybe someone did record -71C. However I will trust the Meteorologists. Also that is way below the temperature in which children are allowed to go to school. That temperature is -55 C. The title of this video is making it seem that children are going to school in -71C.
Maybe some small certain region in certain short period of time and event in siberia really -71° , the fluctuation can be fast. Local people record that fluctuation, that metereologist miss. I believe local people is right, because metereologist only recorded the general average temperature on vast area of place, not so detail.
@ Still children don’t go to School when the temperature drops below -55C. The title of this video suggests that children are making the dangerous trip to school in -71C weather. I have had a life long fascination for Russia. In the capital city of Yakutsk in the Yakutia region the overnight low is around -45 C on average in the Winter months. That said people can only be outside for about 10 minuets before they have to warm up in a supermarket. Cars need to run all night because they won’t start at temperatures in the -40s C. At -71C , no children would be out going to school.
we are about to freeze on 0 degree centigrade and look at them...they are wearing dresses like we wear in summers....
It's good, people become brave, and experienced,to work in severe cold,
Can't ever get enough of Yakutia. I would love to know more about how they are using technology remotely. Thank for your hard work on this.
Thank you for sharing this ...
This video is amazing, I wish more people would have watched it.
I also like it❤

It is better not send kids to school, in such harsh conditions. Either migrate or sit at home.

А зачем говорить на русском, говорили бы на своем Якутском языке. Позор какой-то. Еще и с таким акцентом.
