Hi guys,
I hope you are having a great week.
In today’s video I will be comparing watches from Rolex and Cartier. I wanted to compare these two brands for quite some time. They are both my favourite.
I will be discussing the pros and cons of Rolex and Cartier watches, as well as showing you different designs. I hope you will find this video useful.

Listen to your heart. I have a Panthere and it brings me so much joy to look at and wear. The bracelet is incredibly comfortable I don’t feel it. It can be dressed up or down. Perfect with everything.
OK, Very Good. The Cartier Battery for their Quartz current models should now last around 6 years following the 2017 relaunch. The battery life on my older Panthere model is closer to 2 and a half years. Any reputable high-end jeweller can change a battery for a Quartz watch around £30 in the UK or $34. ( I would avoid the lesser dealers as the Cartier's have tiny 18ct gold screws...which require appropriate tools.)
I have mine in Rose Gold which is truly beautiful and exudes class.
They are certainly less problematic to buy than Rolex (at the moment) and the buying experience will be more agreeable.

Cartier 100% Rolex watches, unless you are close, they look pretty generic. Cartier watches however, they stand out from afar, by their designs, the big roman numbers… class all the way.

Hello, great video and mod shots of the watches. Both brands make beautiful watches. With that being said Rolex designs have something in common style-wise with many other watch brands. For sure they do it better and it’s a higher quality but there are many high quality brands on the market to choose from so for me Rolex doesn’t stand out aesthetically. Without the Rolex emblem and name it could pass for other brands.
Cartier is the winner for me, especially the Panthere. My original love was the Tank line, especially the Tank Must but after looking at the Panthere and comparing I ended up purchasing the Panthere. It’s just gorgeous and unique. Their designs are standout aesthetically and not copied so much by other brands. Longines have a similar model, the Dolce Vita but it’s different enough not to be mistaken as Cartier.
Rolexes are beautiful but not my style, especially as they are a bit sporty, dressy sport watch. Cartier is elegance and sophistication all the way.

I don't like how Rolex is making their watches hard to get to create demand. I I am not begging anyone to give them 10+k lol. Also I don't like that Rolexes as so recognizable and even the ones with diamonds are still sporty looking. Cartier all the way for me

Cartier has a lot of automatic watches.. they have also other options like solar watches. You should do your research first.
Also, the datejust is everywhere!! Only the sports watches are hard to get like gmts and etc.
Really? All the watches that I tried on had batteries. Is panthere automatic?
In which country are Datejust watches available everywhere? It’s not the case in Singapore and the US.
@@BlackandGoldStyle There are some watches from Panthere lines that are automatic even mechanical but higher prices. Cartier watches in general has their own automatic watches.
Here in middle east, datejust is everywhere. As what i said, only the sports watches are not easy to get.
@@BlackandGoldStyle my Cartier Santos is automatic. Actually I’ve never heard of Cartier making any expensive models with quartz movement (battery).
Hard to get in the USA. I waited a year for the datejust.
There’s a 1-2 year wait for a date just in UK, even with purchase history
I personally don’t love the esthetics of round watches so I prefer Cartier to Rolex. I own a Daytona but will always prefer Cartier visually. Tank, Santos and Panthere are my go-to watch styles.

My Cartier Tank is Automatic - its two toned steel and yellow gold - I think it's classic and stylish and I wear it with a few different pieces, I either dress it up or dress it down - I am thinking of getting a Rolex date just in two tone steel and gold, either yellow or rose gold - I was going to trade my Cartier in for the Rolex but I think I'd miss it if I did that - it's difficult which would be my actual preference, so it's best to have one of each if you're undecided (like me)

I can’t decide which I prefer honestly. I have a two tone Panthere and I truly love it but my dream watch is a gold and diamond Panthere however I also really want a two tone Rolex. First world problems, right 😏 I guess the fact I have a Cartier and would buy the same watch in different configurations says maybe that one 😂 I also feel Rolex is too recognizable and I don’t like the idea of judgy eyes on me 😵
Also people are getting jumped for their Rolex watches now. I heard of two incidences. One in London and California.

I know exactly how you feel, it’s so hard to decide. They are both gorgeous. However I highly recommend the two tone Rolex. This watch is the reason I haven’t added others yet. I love it the most ❤️
I prefer the panthere over the daydate for a women's solid gold watch.

Tried the Rolex lady datejust in full rose gold as well as Cartier panthere, the Rolex is just tad bit too bulky and heavy for me end up choosing the Cartier one

Depends on how you see value. A Rolex will consistently hold value. You can always trade up and down easily. I trade every two years. It doesn’t take much to sell, hold, buy, etc (box and papers or none). a Cartier will not hold that value unless it’s 100% gold. They just aren’t up there with reputable watchmakers with in house movements. Buy what you want.

Cartier has automatic watches. It all depends on the models you get, and of course you have to pay more. Mine is automatic.

That is not even a choice. You can not go in a Rolex store and choose a watch you want, some of the watches require purchase history. Cartier, on the other hand are always available anytime.

I have a datejust I barely wear it and when I don’t I have to wind it. I wear my Chanel j12 watch much more. I’ll be acquiring 2 watches from Cartier this year. The ballon bleu de Cartier and the santos small.
