ABOUT THIS VIDEO
🔸Introduction - In this video I have explained about Radiography which is Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method. It can be used for detecting internal defects(voids or porosity) , changes in material composition, thickness measurements, and unwanted or defective components.
🔹In radiography testing, the part is to be inspected is placed between the source of penetrating radiation (X ray or Gamma ray) and a detector of radiation (sensitive film).
🔸Working principle - When the radiations are passed through the material, Some of the radiations gets absorbed in the material itself, and the amount of absorption is a function of the density and the thickness of the material. Therefore the beam of radiation will have less material to pass through than in the solid material, if there is a cavity or discontinuity in the interior of the material.There will be a variation in the absorption of the rays, by the material in the defective area. These variations are recorded in the form of image on a film, that will indivate the presence of defect.
🔹The image obtained on the film is nothing but the X ray shadow of the interior of the material and this shadow picture is called radiograph.
🔸There are two types of radiography depending upon the source of electromagnetic radiation.
1) X-Ray radiography
2) Gamma-ray radiography.
Hence it is also called X-ray Or Gamma ray testing.
🔹Radiography testing have number of advantages over other NDT methods, however it's major disadvantage is that the health risk is associated with the radiation. Some advantages, disadvantages, and applications of radiography is also discussed in this video.

Mera question hai Bhai jisko malum hai wo de Sakta hai- question-- weld joint Ka RT karte samay kya operator barricade ke Andar ruk Sakta hai running me,pure process end tak. Question-2 Agar RT-operator barricade ke Andar rukta hai to uske pass koi aisa instrument HOTA hai kya jo RT se usko bacha sake.kyunki ye radiation bahut khatarnak Hoti hai to usko rokne ke liye koi instrument use karta hai operator
