@@skina101 i agree not out of tune in the guitar but i do believe he's playing a wrong note in there. a major 3rd that should be a minor. could be wrong but i feel like the main riff just sounds off besides poor guitar tone.

Would have loved it if not for the guitar. The song is in a minor key but it plays the main riff with a major third. It sounded wrong every single time it played that main riff. And the tone.
What a shame cos some great vox here otherwise.

The key is E Minor (at least the original is). The third is G, the major third would be G#. The main riff uses the notes E, D, B and C. There is no G (or in your case G#)

I’m in love with this. Red Hot Chili Peppers has been my favorite band for literally ever. Then I made my way through to hilltop hoods, brainbox on repeat. This is amazing

Fucking appalling. Was expecting it to have the chorus with a completely new verse in typical Hilltop style. This was no more entertaining than your standard cover band at the local RSL. Real let down i feel.

@@jesscathcart i disagree. a slightly raised head is okay on the vocal cords. it can help diminish the effect of the digastric (swallowing) muscles. especially when attempting to pull up chest voice. (thyroarytenoid dominate phonation) i mean of course putting your head straight back is going to stretch things too much but his head is only slightly up...which is better than slightly down where you're actually compressing your cords. i'd love to hear if you have a different view on this subject however.

As a guitarist and a sound engineer the tone was pretty off, yes parts can be difficult to recreate but still, if the dude had the right time these guys would've had a chance, some of these people seem like they've never played together either as the timing between them all can be slightly out through parts..

Debris is doing a proper job, a little effect cuts here and there.... there's one shot where he's letting the record go and you can hear nothing, don't know what happend there though.

I don't mind it but I still think Aussie hip hop is the worst music on the planet.
I'm sorry i just don't think this band has the charisma to do this song justice. the bass isn't slapping, the guitar tone is meh at best and the vocals are just not doing it for me.
The bass man starts to hammer on at 3:20, but maybe to little too late.

I don't remember like a version being this over produced.
It's whatever the artists want it to be, look at asaps rocky's and skepta, it was heavily produced but very well done.
they both really have awesome voices even when they're not rapping, not many rappers can actually sing (not taking a shot at rappers).

That was the most disappointing cover I have ever seen. There was no Hilltop Hoods style at all in it.
People complaining about Strat, lete remind you john frusciante have the guitar Untuned for the particular songs. This is one of them one.
Love it. I like the guitar tone too -- the clean guitar is pretty close to the tone JF uses in the early Chili Peppers renditions. The vocal harmonies are beautiful here by the way.
Original song the guitarist has his e strings slightly out of tune (intentionally) song doesn’t sound good when perfectly tuned
